Top Printers – Without hesitation I give Fitzgerald Photo top marks for the quality of their prints and personalized attention to all my print requirements which is the reason I have kept returning to them for 30 years!
Disapointing developing services – I was disappointed with my development and scans. When I dropped off my 120 rolls I asked for high resolution scans of the negatives, but on my thumb-drive the scans were very grainy low-res images (no larger than 3MB each). All the scans had various dust inclusions and one had a pretty solid finger mark. Under closer inspection, at least one negative still had chemical marks creating halo effects and rendering the image even less usable. I can't use any of the scans. Sharpening of the images is clear and adds complexity to the grain. No amount of noise reduction can recover them. I now need to re-wash the negatives and do my own hi-res scanning. First time using this lab. I will not be returning.
Absolutely gorgeous, top notch quality – I was referred to this company by my daughter who is a photographer as she gets her prints from here. I ordered 2 very large farm photos and they look real !! The photo print is crystal clear and so true in colour. Getting all my prints here from now on. A bit more expensive than the 10c prints from K Mart, but I don't care. There is no comparison. Had some done at k Mart recently, and the colours are shocking. Would highly highly recommend Fitzgerald photos.
A photo company let down by its framing work – Fitzgerald Photo 's great work in the photography area is unfortunately let down badly by their framing section. I had costly prints made for an exhibition but was distressed to find that most of my prints from day one of the exhibition had come loose from their matts, and had fallen down. The adhesive tape the company used was useless. Even after taking the work back for re-matting the same thing has happened again - just took a bit longer. At an exhibition, this is not simply disappointing and an embarrassment for artist and gallery owners alike, the work has to be taken off display to be fixed. A three hour journey all up for me to go back to the shop. Not happy. Would suggest getting matting done elsewhere.
A very caring and proffesional service – I had bought a heart locket being told of places i could get photos of my late dad and myself shrunk and put inside and was devestasted when i was told from all CANT DO so after searching all over the web i found Paul,he was so kind and said it would be no problem.The locket looked wonderful and very reasonable price and i was able to have it around my neck on fathers day 2018 to help feel close to my beloved Dad, I highly recommend you visit his website as there is a lot they do there and with great pride in the work.
