Can i leave a NO STAR rating.. Extremely disappointing experience with Handel Skip Bins. Customer service appears to be non-existent. No one answers the phone, and emails go unanswered, leaving customers with no way to get assistance or clarification. The monthly allocation system is equally frustrating. Allocations open at 12:01am and are… Read more

reportedly exhausted by 12:03am. How is that even possible? It raises serious questions about the fairness and accessibility of the booking process when availability disappears within minutes.

If you're going to run a system with such limited availability, the least you can do is provide responsive customer service and clear communication. Unfortunately, my experience was a complete lack of both.

I would not recommend this service based on my experience. GCCC have some explaining to do!

We have used this several times and been very happy with the service. We are lucky to have this on the Gold Coast. My relatives in Brisbane area do not have access to such a service.

I used to love the free service for Gold Coast locals. It apparently no longer exists. They switched to the first of the month ordering all skips gone. last month I tried at 8 am. All gone. This month I up at midnight and they were all gone again. How can they all be gone by 12.02 am? I started my order at 12.01 and they sent a sign in PIN. I… Read more

thought success but then a message was returned that they were all gone. I created a social media post of everyone else had the same comments, all gone, instantly. All gone in 2 minutes? Yeah right.

As a happy customer living on the Gold Coast, I couldn't be more impressed with FlexiSkip. This small, Queensland-owned company delivers excellent service with a convenient and eco-friendly solution for waste removal. It's a great initiative supported by the local council, making cleanup jobs simple and stress-free. Especially after tropical cyclone Alfred. Highly recommend!

Happy customer – Have used for the last 3 years and found it to be an excellent service so thank you to the Handel group and GCCC I would recommend this great service to everyone. I used it mainly for palm fronds and general garden waste.

Excellent efficient service – Have ordered from Handel for the GCCC for the third time over the past couple of years and every time it's been efficient . Good size bin to get rid of waste around the house. Better than loads of rubbish all over the curb like a third world country. The key lies in the resident to actually fill it and then ask for the pickup in a timely manner and then it basically comes and goes unnoticed.

This service is shocking. I did not receive a call back for the time frame as promised by the supervisor Liz. They don’t care about the GCCC ratepayers. Very disappointing and GCCC need to look carefully into these contractors.

I strongly recommend paying for rubbish collection or removal instead — this service has been extremely disappointing. It took a formal complaint just to get any action. Dealing with customer service was equally frustrating — they seemed more focused on ending the call and meeting KPIs than actually resolving the issue. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this service.

unreliable service – GC council you need to do something around this service, I've ordered a collection, email back said it will be collected within 3 business days, day 4 still there i rang they said they will pick up , day 5 still there. so, we went through another weekend access was blocked so we could not get machinery down the side of house, so workers did not get paid. here we are 2 weeks in and the flexiskip is still there. very very poor service.

No compliance - where does our rate money go to? – Called 4 x over 2 days between various hours and had to leave a return contact mobile and email - nothing yet - GC council - where is the service and why can't the reception at GC council take the message

INCOMPETENT, UNRELIABLE, AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE RUBBISH COMPANY. DO NOT USE THEM. YOU WILL REGRET – OMG! what can I say? Skip arrived late. That is not the worst part. The biggest challenge is to get them to collect the skip. They say your skip will be collected within 3 business days, seems more like "no idea when they will pick it up". In the meantime, you just have to get used to your lawn getting destroyed and an eyesore in front of your… Read more

house. Not sure what's wrong with the mob at HANDEL. They are probably high on illicit substance or are just seriously mentally challenged. Unsure why the City of GOLD COAST is using their services? Suspect some high-level corruption, bribery, scandals taking place internally. Handel is a joke of a company, run by clowns. Their app doesn't work, customer service is non-existent. You can try calling them till the cows go home and still not get a customer support agent. Good luck, trying to get them to call you back. Frankly, it wasn't like that previously. I used them the first time, they were really impressive. Second time round it is a completely different story. They seriously have lost the plot. I am perplexed by their business model. HANDEL needs to pick up their game. I even asked CHAT GPT why HANDEL is so crap. Did not get a direct answer but was told by CHAT GPT, HANDEL acronym could stand for Half-[Content Removed] Nonsensical Deceptive Enterprises Limited (HANDEL). Couldn't agree more with CHAT GPT.

Just bring back kerbside.. plain and simple – I can't find one good reason this exists. Council go through it all and sell off any goods to make money off our stuff, and the fact you can be charged for some stupid reason, there was never any issues when kerbside was around.

Just Don't – Tried to order a pick up only to have many calls unanswered and to be told I needed to be home at all times over three days during pick-up. I then rang again only to be told because I was over the 30-day limit I would be charged $49.50 every time FLEXiSKIP had to come out for non-collection. A particularly rude member of staff said, "I really… Read more

don't understand why you're so stressed."

I was also told I needed to contact neighbours (I don't know 3/4 of the residents in my street) to NOT park their car in front of the FLEXiSKIP.

This company needs to have their contract non-renewed because dealing with them is close to impossible.

If I don't receive it, I cannot use it – 13 days ago I ordered a flexiskip as part of Gold Coast Council services. Nothing sighted yet. Nothing nada zip. Yesterday I emailed them. Nothing nada zip. Emailed them again today but I honestly don't expect a response. I should've taken note and acted upon all the crap reviews this mob has received. I shall now have to cart all this rubbish to the tip myself, and there goes my one allocated blue bag per year.

Still awaiting for Pick up – 2 weeks since requesting the "3 Day Pick Up" so now my lawn is dead and that ugly skip is stuck out the front of the house. keep ringing up but you only get the message service . One of those products that doesn't deliver .......well doesn't pick up!

Great service – Delivered quickly and picked up quickly. Easy to manage the skip and it takes a lot of stuff. We really just used it for green waste and it held a lot. Could not fault the service. I had read bad reviews and nearly decided to not bother to get one but glad I went ahead.

Perfect Product for rubbish – Excellent product and service. Since I no longer had a Ute anymore. This was perfect to move around yard ( unlike a metal skip). Great for all the rubbish and garden waste. Thanks.

Wish I read the reviews before I ordered a Flexiskip – Terrible service. Terrible communication. The Flexiskip is still not picked up. I'm tired of getting home from work day after day to the skip still sitting on the lawn out the front when they say it will be picked up within 3 business days. They're all ready to give strict instructions on how to use the service, but they don't follow through with their side of the bargain! I will NEVER use this service again. What a joke.

Still not picked up. Terrible company – It started off very promising, as it arrived very quickly. To have the skip picked up, the paperwork says to scan QR code on paperwork or skip, but there wasn't one on either. I finally found a contact number by googling (there was nothing on the app) I left a voicemail with the details to pick up and saw that the app said it would be collected… Read more

within 72 hours. This was on the 16th Feb. I have tried calling numerous times but only get to a voicemail. There is a section in the app that allows you to email details through, but have never had a reply, not even in junk. I have now moved out of this rental property and the new tenants have moved in. Aside from the fact that it is inconvenient for the new tenant, I have the risk of them putting something in there that is against the rules and flexiskip will charge me for them not pick it up!

Never use this company terrible collection times – Booked for collection 3 weeks ago and still waiting, lawn is now dead! Are they going to repair that. Email states collection within 3 business days, what a load of crap. Excuse after excuse is all i get, I’m tired of hearing covid is to blame for everything. Will never use or recommend this service again, would have been much simpler to hire a trailer and dispose of myself, may still do this I’m totally fed up.

7 weeks since I called for collection. Disgraceful – Understand there is a delay with Covid but 7 weeks since I rang for collection when they claim they will collect in 3 business days is an absolute joke. A full skip of rubbish on my front lawn and now my grass is ruined. Doubt they’ll volunteer to repair that. NEVER use this service.

Shocking service – Told the pick up for the skip would be 1-3 days, 10 days after arranging the pick up, still hasn’t been removed. I’ve tried calling multiple times, however phone lines don’t go through and make you leave a message, left multiple messages just requesting a call back, haven’t received anything. Having the flexible dates for a clean up was fantastic – I wanted to give the Flexiskip a big thumbs up. Did I get lucky or a different company? From the negative reviews I was very surprised. Never use flexiskip again – Booked my collect said it would be picked up 1 to 3 business days.5 weeks later still waiting. After many phone calls and emails of "yes it will be picked up in the next couple of days".To add to the frustration the skip 2 doors up was picked up In a week of putting on the kerb.Drove straight past mine.I am at a loss of what to do to get it picked up.

Told 3 days for collection, been over 6 weeks and still waiting – Contacted customer service and left message over 15 times, rarely available so message service, when they do respond the provide a different reason for non collection each time, never again will we use this service... we are still waiting for collection

Flexiskip, what can I say! – This company must be a front for money laundering , how are they still in business? It took four weeks for the skip to arrive( so don’t plan any timeframes for projects) and now 19 voicemails and 23 days later I am still waiting for them to collect this now permanent feature on my lawn ,skip. Did someone at GCCC get a cheeky brown envelope full of money to award a contract to this obviously useless company?

No pick up of skip and no answer to calls or emails – Really disappointed with this service and unsure if they are still in business. Lodged to be picked up before Easter but no one has come and it has been over 2 weeks!! I have phoned them multiple times (with no answer) and left voice messages and emails but have not had a return call. I have since had to pay for another company to collect the skip. Very disappointed and very inconvenient!

UNprofessional, UNreliable, UNder resourced – Clearly unable to keep up with demand (were awarded South East Gold Coast free kerbside contract), their website says they will deliver out a FlexiSkip within 3 business days. and was told it would arrive in the next couple of days. Fast forward 3 weeks from the initial FlexiSkip order and having still not received the bin, I called up again and was told it was being packaged and would arrive in the next couple of days. I told the operator i was told that last time and she said there was a ‘system outage.’ I asked how a system outage could last 1/2 a month and was given attitude. Great idea, terrible execution and little customer service.
