Flowmate

Doesn’t work at all in heavier rain. For the price had hoped for more efficient product. Had water flowing everywhere from our gutter. Got up there in the rain to see and there was barely two to three cups up leaves in the gutter itself. And it was like a waterfall. In their adds they show fully blocked drains and it flowing with ease. Don’t trust these videos one bit!
We purchased these after having problems with very expensive gutter guard that we ended up removing as there was still stuff growing underneath. Flowmate does exactly what it says it does, my husband is very happy with them - also, they are a fraction of the cost of the cost of gutter guard! Very happy 5⭐️

We got 6 of these for our house. Made the biggest difference - keeps the cr#p out and water flowing. Makes it super easy to clean. Simple but so effective. Thanks heaps guys.

I was looking for a solution to stop leaves blocking up my gutter down pipes as we have quite a few gum trees. I saw these Flowmate Downpipe leaf protectors on Facebook and although expensive ( and I wasn’t totally convinced how effective they were) I thought I would buy a few (3) to try. Long story short, they were easy to install as instructed and certainly stopped the leaves from going into the Downpipe and blocking, however caused another issue.
I live on the Central coast NSW and today (12/12/2025) was a great test to see how these would work will significant rain arriving (in fact was very heavy / torrential rain this morning as predicted). Note: the day before 11/12 I got up on the roof and checked the (box) gutters were clear of leaves.
Upon arrival of the heavy rain this morning, I noted after a while that the gutterings with the Flowmate s installed were overflowing out the weep holes, all other gutterings on the house did not overflow.
I worked out that the actual Flowmate/s were causing a significant restriction over the gutter hole going into the Downpipe not allowing the water to get away fast enough thus causing water to backup and the gutters to overflow ( which is logical when you think about it !!). Note: these are large box gutters with 2 Downpipes on each gutter.
I then got up on the roof and removed them from the gutters and this resolved the overflowing issue.
Consequently I would not recommend them as they cause this additional issue and you would be wasting you money like I did.
I am now looking at other solutions.
I hope this honest feedback helps and saves you some money.
