The helmet is good. Speakers are very good, camera records good video, nicely designed, light weight and fits perfectly, doesn’t get too loose after using it for few months. The reason I’m giving terrible star reviews is due to their customer service. My helmet controller hasn’t been working since I bought helmet. I initially thought I was doing something wrong (not following manuals properly) so didn’t escalate it straight away and used helmet without it. But after spending some time with it, I came to know that the controller is faulty. I contacted MCAS where I bought it from they asked me to contact Forcite directly. I sent them multiple emails with no response in email. I called the number in their website, it doesn’t ring anyone. I sent multiple emails with no response. I escalated it his to MCAS, after long wait and multiple follow ups they asked me to send back the helmet and they’re going to refund me the cost. It’s such a shame that I have to return it. I like the helmet. No customer service and no accountability or responsibility no warranty as promised. Very upset.

Please read all recent reviews on google and their facebook page. They were recently bought out by GoPro and support is now non-existent. The helmet is still in its development stage and needs a lot of work before it is polished, but I won't take the risk again while there is no one to help you when things go wrong.

Purchased in for $1,437.

Good foundation but has issues – The good - it looks great, is generally well designed (except for the issues mentioned below) and built, the LED light bar notifications work well, it fits well and has great sounding speakers. The manufacturer is generally responsive to issues, and they clearly are committed to providing good products and service. The not so good - I spent over $1,400 on the noisiest helmet I've ever experienced. So loud I need to wear earplugs, which means I can't hear the speakers. The LED light bar deflects my breath up onto my glasses, which immediately fog up every time I stop in colder weather (this is so annoying that I have to moderate my breathing at traffic lights or order to see). The internal visor hits my nose. The video is good quality, but there's no stabilisation so it's not pretty (basically unwatchable on bumpy roads). And unlike a GoPro where you can swap out a flat battery for a spare one, once the helmet battery is flat (after around 2.5 hrs of video recording) then that's it.

Overall - I admire the guys for trying and it's great to see an Australian product attempt what is clearly a challenging thing to do. But it needs more work and I'm not sure all of the issues I mention above are fixable. Sadly for now it sits on a shelf at home gathering dust while I use my other helmets.

Hi Peter, Thank you for this review, I want to reach out and see if I could remedy any of the flaws you have found in the MK1S

Regarding the wind noise - How is your fitment in the helmet? An ideal fitment is one that is as snug as possible before cause in pain.

With the wind noise you have mentioned I feel you might benefit from a smaller size or thicker cheek pads. This in turn could also improve the internal visor touching your nose, as the helmet will in a slightly more upright position.

In regards to battery life- Current battery life is 3.5 hours whilst operating the camera, audio and led display. You are able to charge the helmet whilst operating all three of these features to allow for continuous use.

Forcite MK1S Smart Motorcycle Helmet – This is by far the most expensive motorcycle helmet I have every purchased. Including premium padding, a 256 Gig card, and an additional iridium visor, I think the Forcite MK1S set me back $1354. It is a beautifully designed helmet and the integrated chin camera with internal LED warning is great. I ended up buying the matt black colour and I love it. The MK1S comes with a large triangular blue tooth controller, which I easily mount onto my sports bikes using RAM Mounts. The internal speaker system is crystal clear and loud. You need the Forcite app to make it all work though, and this is where it can be a bit buggy. Sometimes the voice commands work, other times they don't - or least, that's been the case for me. Unfortunately, I've had a couple of issues requiring Forcite support (which is brilliant, by the way). The back padding formed an internal tear after about 1 week of use. A week or so later an error message appeared in the app when pressing record and the camera refused to work. I reset the camera, formatted the card, reinstalled the app, but the fault persists. Right now, I'm in comm's with Forcite about what to do next. I usually wear a medium, and Forcite's medium size is a perfect fit for me. It is comfortable, although my AGV K6 is plusher. The internal visor is epic and is one of the best I've ever had, but it does occasionally touch the top of my large English nose. Wind noise is surprisingly loud. My Shark Sparton Carbon (which has the brilliant Sena 10C Evo attached) and AGV K6 are noticeably quieter. So, there it is. The MK1S is innovative and beautiful, but the one I received has had quality control and technical problems from the get-go. Hopefully, this will all get resolved soon.

G'day Forcite. Happy to post an update. I'm still enjoying this helmet. I've conducted a couple of factory resets and updated the firmware, and the camera-controller-app interface seems to work good now. Occasionally, I get very late voice alerts, such as when passing cars on the side of the road or a stealth revenue raiser, I mean, road safety camera. But overall, the camera works flawlessly, and the quality of this helmet is excellent. Please keep up the great customer service, for I believe this is what separates you from the hoi palloi. I've increased the stars (not that this means much) to reflect my user experience since purchasing.
