Four'N Twenty Classic Meat Pie

This review is actually for the 'Beef and Cheese" pies. How can you use "Beef" in the title when there is only 18% beef in the product?? In fact, it was more like a 'meat gravy' - this is false advertising and should be looked at by the ACCC. The Coles and Woolies 'homebrand' pies have substantially more meat content at half the price. Will NEVER buy again. Wouldn't be surprised if Patties goes broke! Show details
An Australian icon. Well it used to be! What rubbish, these pies are. I am now 65years old and when l was a kid, the curry and rice pies, were absolutely delicious. The Cornish pasties and classic beef pie, to die for. Wake up Aussie companies.… Read more
I felt sick, eating this and so did my family. The pie was salty and l'm sure the meat, was a concoction of scrappy leftovers. If you've forgotten, how to make a great Aussie pie, then enlist a good bakery, to teach you how or at least dig out, you're own original recipes! I immediately had indigestion and regretted the first bite. Why join the long list, of Aussie companies producing, sub standard food? Why not be the stand out, the way you once were, years ago? Threw out the other, full packet. NEVER again Four'nTwenty!
Follow-up · I would describe the texture as gooey now, with the odd bit of what l think, was gristle. The taste is definately, bland but salty, very unappealing. The old Four 'n' Twenty, were more a deep pie, with hearty minced beef, with a beautiful rich gravy, perfectly balanced spices, they looked appealing, smelt appealing and were delicious...every… Read more
The Four N Twenty classic meat pie has - impossibly found a new low. It has always been a poor quality pie, but was bearable if you applied enough sauce. Now when you try to cut through from the top of the pie, the cap crust is so hard, the whole pie falls apart as you try and cut through the top crust, and creates a crappy mess on your plate.… Read more
Unfortunately they purchased Sergeant Pies - the best meat pie on the market, several years ago and stuffed it up as well. the Sergeant Pies had the perfect pastry and a great filling, but its now rubbish as well.
TIGHT CRAP VOUCHER $15 REPLACEMENT AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND POOR-QUALITY CONTROL – Dear Customer service Very disappointed in the cheese pies with no cheese in some of the packs you charge like a red bull at Coles and Woolworths it's beyond a joke in your quality control i complained before when you had angus pies incorrectly labeled with my favorite pepper pies and disappointed me with a cheese and bacon the i get a phone… Read more
call from your customer service of concern about the issue with incorrect labeling and concerns of allergy like you had to be right and make me feel i had no right to complain with your corrective attitude and shove me off with a tight $15 dollar voucher for Coles for replacement just remember customer are right and should be treated with respect when your wrong and swallow your pride and admit wrong and stop being tight with your voucher replacements when your pies are overpriced at 12 dollars $4 bux for a pie when I can go to a bakery handmade for $5 dollars why customers have to chase your pies around woolies and drakes and Coles when there price swapping is a joke too if it's a special it should be because you care about Australians not cause you have poor quality control
WHAT PEPPER? – Pepper? What pepper? It has no flavour at all, just a boring mince and gravy pie that you wouldn't buy again Show details
Absolute Rubbish the Four'N Twenty Classic Meat Pie, don't buy it – Tastes horrible, I followed the instructions to heat the pie but the meat was overcooked and dry and stuck to the pastry. The pastry doesn't taste of anything and is dry and ordinary. I feel angry that I have wasted my money on such rubbish. Show details
If I could give it zero I would – The pastry was just ok but the filling is where it gets nasty. An awful tasting meat flavoured sludge with everything but meat. Since when does a classic pie contain carrot? And some other indeterminate cheap filler? I'm sure some bean counter thought they'd save some money by skimping on the filling. All they've done is spoil something that isn't difficult to make tasty.
