Frutta Del Prato Preserving Jars

Do not buy the small jars! – I have bought three different sizes in these jars for pickling. The larger sized jars are fine BUT only 3 out of 18 of the smaller jars actually sealed. I am now stuck with 15 jars of produce that is no good. Really disappointed :-(
Lids need to be replaced – Jars are good but the lids, OMG. After taking the lids off for the first time, could not for the love of God get the lids to go back on straight. Will be looking for replacement lids.
Sad that I must eat your lids too – After first usage from the inside of the lid came out paints... After multiple times of usage, I already felt paint taste in my mouth... Guys, truly your jars are nice, but lids totally underrated... Please fix it.
Good economical jar, user must replace lid for preserving purposes – This range of jars is of interest and a point of conflict and conversation to many home preservers. They retail from many hardware, discount outlet and big box stores. They are priced competitively for new jars. than the Ball type mason jars and the thicker jar is what most Australians are used to. To upgrade the jars to preserving standard, use the standard regular-mouth lids and canning rings as sold by Ball, Bernardin, Golden Harvest and Kerr. The jars are also compatible with regular-sized Tattler lids. Failure to do so will result in the lids popping off the jars during processing or whilst being inverted. Using the gold supplied lids for preserving may cause severe burns. The jars come in 1/4 litre, 1/2 litre and litre sizes (1/2 US pint, US pint, and US quart) and have regular-mouth (70 mm) and wide-mouth openings. Depending on whether they are sold as is or packaged as a store brand product, the jars are clearly marked Frutta Del Pratto and may come with either one-piece cap lids or with two-piece lids.
