My 2012 Mitsubishi ASX has served me very well and a new car is not on the horizon anytime soon. About two weeks ago the 'Engine Warning Light' came on. Reading the manual didn't calm my farm and I booked an urgent car service. My mechanic diagnosed the problem as being the general fuel quality of fuel at the moment and suggested that I urgently… Read more
buy a petrol additive such as Fuel Doctor which I did. The 250ml bottle provided two doses. Long story short, problem fixed.
My parner & I have a 2012 Jayco Conquest,on a Fiat chassis.Went well from new,but last 2-3 years goes into "limp" mode quite regularly.Extensive analising ,showed no.1 fuel injector was malfunctioning.Fiat shop said we needed new head, injectors etc @ a cost of $15,000.Thanks but no thanks. We called Steve of fuel Doctor Show reply
I've been bringing an old Subaru L Series back to life after about 12 years of it sitting unused. The engine ran from an external fuel can, but not from the car's tank due to about 10 litres of some fairly rank old fuel and significant layers of varnish and rust blocking the internal fuel lines and pick up. Steve was absolutely invaluable,… Read more
providing advice about the steps to take. After numerous rounds of high pressure air and water (and chemical) cleaning, it came good and with the addition of fuel doctor from now on the old beast has never been running better. I'm also now including fuel doctor in all future refuels of my other petrol and diesel vehicles as it really does provide an extra level of insurance against bad fuel and unseen changes within your fuel system.
Have used Fuel Doctor in our diesel Jeep Grand Cherokee and now my Triumph Thunderbird Commander. Easy to use and a good price. Ask to speak with Steve for advice, fantastic help, much appreciated.
Fantastic product. Somehow I had contaminated diesel in my 4x4 which kept triggering it into limp mode forcing me to drain the diesel filter. 500ml shock treatment with fuel doctor had my 4x4 back to normal in a couple of minutes. So happy my friend recommended this product to me as it saved me draining 50lt of diesel from my main tank.
The professional staff at Fuel Doctor where able to advise guide me in the method of dealing with my dirty fuel problem. Steve was really knowledgeable and willing to help.
Fuel doctor – Fuel doctor is the only product that I could find to dissolve old fuel gum & varnish in a wr450 Yamaha motorcycle carburettor that had been sitting for 6 months with premium ulp in it. Turpentine, kerosene, petrol, brake parts cleaner, carby & throttle body cleaner did nothing but turn it into a sticky mess. I will be using fuel doctor in all my… Read more
vehicles, bikes & boat from now on. I spoke with their technical team who were very informative & gave me a lot of tips on the best way to use their product. I’ve found todays fuels to be garbage, fuel doctor helps get over the poor quality we are forced to use these day. Very impressed with the product it is expensive but saves money in the long run.
One very happy customer – I spoke to Steve from fuel doctor on a Saturday at 9am for about 15 mins and learnt more about fuel and dirty fuel then I did in 40 yrs. Absolute gentleman amd so smart. I will now be a fuel doctor user for my trucks and boat from now on
Expecting great results – Fuel Doctor is what we are using for our genset Only just started with it. Will update review when we test it further. Steve is very helpful and knowledgeable. We fee this product will suffice for what we want. Will also use it on our Iveco Daily.
Cure and Maintenance – The Jeep Wrangler, petrol use was increasing, two tanks later of Fuel Doctor and back to normal L/100. The Grand Cherokee diesel runs beautifully and is the tow vehicle for a large caravan, always plenty of power, I have constantly used Fuel Doctor in the diesel. The ride on mower was coughing and spluttering, hard to start, added Fuel Doctor and problems disappeared. Very Happy customer.
What a waste of money – I really don't know what the fuzz is about this product. it did not work at all. I drive a 2012 Mitsubishi Triton. I noticed that the engine was running a bit sluggish and the fuel consumption increased. A friend recommended Fuel Doctor. I bought a bottle and used the recommended " shock treatment" using 500 ml in one tank of Diesel. I driven… Read more
towing a camper trailer and after the tank was empty I noticed no difference. I used the other 500 ml of Fuel Doctor in one tank of Diesel and again, no difference. The fuel consumption is still higher than before. I wasted 55$ for nothing. Not happy not at all.
Great Product – Used the Product to treat a Diesel tank 145 ltrs that had been sitting for a year and the engine was running rough. Did the shock treatment first made a vast improvement after running the engine for about an hour, every time I add treatment engine seems to run more smoothly. Im Happy
Great product and ongoing support A+++++ – Cannot rate Steve from Brisbane more highly. His support when our commercial vessel engine began clogging up due to water was above and beyond. He responded immediately and helped us get back on the water fast when others quoted us crazy amounts just to look at the tank. Highly recommend them and their products. Thank you again Steve
Incredibly helpful / knowledgeable owner/manager – Wow! How utterly delightful to find a company totally passionate about their field! I rang for some general advice on quantites to mix for long term petrol storage and got treated to tons and tons of info relating to care for my engine. I am going to also start using the product in the car all the time and will report back on the results. Thank… Read more

Fuel Doctor on diesel, motorcycles – Was using a kerosene based competitor which had improved injectors on a previous Nissan Patrol. On advice from my son and hearing and feeling a very tangible difference on his 3.0 litre Colorado, I tried it on my 3.0 litre Hilux. After a shock dose and two tanks the difference in response and low end power was quite amazing. Over a couple of… Read more
months the average fuel consumption has improved by 1 litre/ 100 km. I've since used it on my motorcycles, vintage and modern, with the same results. I believe there will be also major benefit combating condensation inside the motorcycle tanks. Just my experience , but a product that actually works.
Fuel Doctor 100% fixed the issues in the stainless steel tank in 29' yacht – Years old and dis-used main tank was in a bad way with contaminated fuel. Talked through the issues with Fuel Doctor and over a series of treatments , allowing the product time to achieve its outcome, took the tank from opaque brown to clear diesel and have recommissioned as the main tank. Have used Fuel Doctor ever since. I have found their… Read more
advice and service outstanding and have come back to them when facing issues on other diesels a number of times. Yes I can see the 'before' and 'after' difference and No, there are no other factors that can have produced the result.
Landcruiser runs better and seems to have more power – Bought a used Landcruiser diesel and started adding fuel doctor as per instructions. Diesel engines can build up a lot of muck inside them and mine had 60,000kms on it when I bought it. I live in a very hilly area so I can notice any difference in performance on every drive. It started running better after the first two tanks. It will get up hills… Read more
in higher gears, it purrs on the highway so nicely, and every time I fill the tanks it seems to run better and better. It will be interesting to see how dirty the EGR is when I get it cleaned out later this year. I have since put it in all of my two-stroke fuel as well. Chainsaws and brush cutters all started revving higher and performing better after only 5 to 10 minutes. Unbelievable. At less than 4 cents a litre I don't understand why everyone is not using it. Great work fuel doctor.
Great product Works really well – Been using Fuel Doctor on my farm. Great for diesel storage with peace of mind that any contaminated fuel will be cleaned up with Fuel Doctor. I use Fuel Doctor treatment on all my large fuel storage tanks and even jerry cans With peace of mind that its safe for all my vehicles
Doesn’t remove water – After having extreme water contamination in my boat tank and having to replace the tank and fuel pump module costing $3400 I wanted something to help future damage I did a fishing trip for 11 days refueling every day with 60-70 litres of unleaded and adding the correct amount of fuel doctor On my return home and cleaning the boat I noticed water… Read more
in the filter trap, i took a sample and put in a glass jar there was an amount of water in the bottom of glass jar , how could this happen when i was using the correct ratio of fuel doctor, I’m not convinced that this product does anything at all except remove my money from bank I have videos of the samples if anyone wants to view them Not happy
This Product is worth it's weight in GOLD – All issues with dodgy fuel from regional revise stations have gone. I noticed a marked improvement in fuel economy almost immediately after I started using Fuel Doctor. I have also noticed an improvement in reliability of the vehicle. And finally and in many ways, probably most importantly, the level of technical support and advice is the most… Read more
excellent, courteous and helpful that I have had the pleasure to receive ever. Thank you Fuel Doctors for an excellent product.
Customer Service can’t be faulted – I have just had the pleasure of talking to Steve from Fuel Doctors Australia. I am really a low end customer who only just recently bought his first 1 litre bottle of Fuel Doctor for my newly acquired 2009 Diesel Pajero. The Pajero has just under 200k on the clock but I want to keep it for a long time, look after it, and make sure it gets clean… Read more
fuel. I was so impressed with the various videos I have seen showing how this product can treat fuel I decided to try it out. The Pajero runs very well on the product so I decided to put it in my 4 stroke motorbike. The bike had been sitting around for 2 years, last year only travelling to get the rego done. I started it this year again to go for a rego check and it ran very roughly and kept cutting out (surprise, surprise!). So I got the bottle of Fuel Doctor out to see if that might help. I dosed it with a double dose of treatment. What a difference it has made! The engine runs smoothly and idles perfectly. Took it for a 200 km ride on Friday and it didn’t miss a beat. That sold me. But what impressed me even more was getting first hand information from the boss (I think partner) of the company about how Fuel Doctor can be used in my 3 older vehicles and that he was willing to take the time and effort to help me when I was such an insignificant customer. Thank you Steve
May Have Saved our X Trail – Additives .... Hmmphhh ... do you believe the claims and fork out or do you do follow what the manuals say and completely ignore them?!?! We’re pretty well ambivalent on them, but decided to run with Fuel Doctor more as a way of extending fuel storage times in our rural environment than anything else ... and so we’ve used Fuel Doctor now for… Read more
perhaps 7 or 8 years. Adding a much loved JetSki to the family 3 years ago really validated it given that the company originally arose due to folks having problems with water contamination of marine fuels. I want as many odds in my favour when 40 or 50 km off shore as possible thanks!!
The thing about this sort of stuff is that you just never know if they’re actually doing anything ... or if they’re just coloured placebo! Well ... I can say this, we’ve never had any problems with any of our fleet of assorted petrol or Diesel engines ... and in fact may have dodged a big bullet which Fuel Doctor may or may not .... but probably did ... play a huge role in.
Had owned a diesel Nissan XTrail since new and had put 241000KM on it before the wife accidentally filled the tank with premium unleaded fuel. None the wiser she then drove the thing until it finally stopped - believe it or not, nearly 5Km later. Big panic, rang RACQ who tilt-trucked it back to their mechanic who drained the fuel and refilled with diesel. He recommended the filter be replaced ... but I’d just done it so I politely declined. Then bought another and did it myself anyway. I also threw in an extra engine oil/filter change to help as much as possible. Mechanic said to try it out ... and we’ll either be lucky ... or not.
Car ran normally, despite the odds ... although it did stall out on a particular degree of upwards slope. We found though that if we simply turned the ignition off, waited a few seconds then restarted, the car would run normally for another 50 or 60 KMs. We described this situation to a diesel engineer who said that it was almost certainly due to a petrol affected fuel sensor. They offered to replace this for $600 ... but we felt the car probably wasn’t worth it ... so just continued on.
Miraculously we found that the problem occurred less and less, and that if we kept the fuel tank above 1/4 full it was unlikely to happen ... for some reason. Well ... all of that was now nearly 22000KM ago, and we haven’t had a stall whatsoever for perhaps 4 or 5000Km now. The car just chugs up the Toowoomba range in 5th gear - just as it did when new, and when we press the throttle she lights up!
When we describe the whole situation to friends with mechanical know how we invariably get comments such as “no way” and “miraculous”.
Now to this day I have no idea if fuel doctor played a role in this or not ... but I can say for sure that it defied the odds ... and gives me cause to feel validated in our decision to use this stuff. Our family isn’t usually prone to miracles!
It isn’t cheap, but we buy it in the 1L bottles when they’re on sale at the auto stores, and you don’t need much of it at all. And the reassurance that it’s standing guard over everything we have is worth the outlay. I wonder how much a new engine for the XTrail would have cost?!?!
2.8 Prado - Not DPF issues – I have run this in my 2016 2.8 Prado since new. I recently had my car serviced including the DPF inspection, as was part of the Toyota recall. After hearing many horror stories about blocked up DPF's i was surprised when Toyota told me mine was like new. I get better fuel economy and use it in all my engines including whipper snipper, lawn mower and motorbike. Love it. Will keep using it forever.
