Doesnt link to my phone so i cant print.my phone does detext the printer but not the app ( which you need for pairing as pairing directly with your phone apparently doesnt work though actuky nothing works). This is a piece of garbage that will contribute to more ewaste
Easy to use and kid friendly – Polaroids are a lovely addition to the home. Photo quality is ok. Only down side is the bulky size and cost of film. I find due to the fact that most of us have cameras on our phone I seem to not reach for the Fuji and so it just sits in the cupboard collecting dust.
Great camera, quality photo’s. Awesome addition to the household – This is a great camera, especially for kids. Its easy to use and prints good quality photo’s. The bundle packs are good value with camera cover & photo paper to get started. The photo paper refills are a little expensive, however, the black photo paper does look awesome. It is great to have instant, non-digital photo memories to display.
fun little camera to carry around – this is a fun camera to carry to parties. its easy to use and you pretty much just point and shoot, there's not much settings to fiddle around with which I like. My only complaint is that the film is hard to put into the camera.
Great Product – The mint colour is beautiful, this camera is great for those who prefer to take a snap and go rather than posing. Good quality and would highly recommend to all.
On the fence – Ok, first off I think the idea and overall design is great. However there are a few problems. 1. For some reason the picture quality is gradually becoming worse. I am unsure if this is a manufacture issue? 2. The film is ridiculously overpriced... and It's never on sale. I get that it's a "retro" throwback kinda thing. However it's really not… Read more
worth the money. Considering I have so many wasted shots because the lens was out of focus or the picture was blurry.
3. The viewfinder is awkwardly placed. It's difficult to see the through it because it's so small.
4. I took mine to a concert once and was so disappointed with all 10 of the shots I got. Each one was almost all black and you could barely see the performer. I wouldn't suggest using it at night or in dark places.
I paid $100 for mine. That didn't include film either... Overall I'm really underwhelmed. We have all this great technology but they couldn't perfect instant photography?
Disappointed – I hot this a few months ago and the camera quality just keeps getting worst and worst. Film costs too much to be taking crappy photos. I have at least 10 wasted photos which is about $20 gone to waste. If you have the option to choose which polaroid camera to get I suggest you get the instax mini 90, it takes beautiful pictures and it has better features.
Great little camera – My brother bought me this camera awhile ago when he was on a trip, and I really like it. I do agree with another reviewer though, it's definitely not a substitute for a digital camera but it's a lot of fun to use it to take some polaroids at special occasions or with friends. The film is pricey although you can get it a bit cheaper on eBay. Overall I really like it and would recommend it!
Fuji Instax Mini 8 is great – This camera really cool, fun and easy to use. I enjoy using my Fuji Instax Mini 8, it is a polaroid camera, it is small and light making it easy to travel with and carry. It has a good amount of pastel colours to choose from such as pink, blue and yellow etc. The pictures that it instantly prints are really good quality. The film can be a… Read more
bit pricing but if you really love taking pictures it worth it. The camera has flash and has a range of setting for when your taking pictures in different lighting. I wouldn't suggest buying this camera for anyone above the age of 13, the film if really fragile and the camera lens could get easily broken.
I would recommend this camera for anyone who likes collecting cameras and likes the whole vintage style. Once you buy this camera you have to be prepared to spend a lot of money on the film (it normally works out $2 per picture).
Hope this review was helpful xxx
Does what it says, but very limited and film costs are high – It's hard to rate this one. I guess if you are going to rate it according to doing what it says it does you'd have to give it 4 or 5 stars. It's a solid camera, very easy to use and produces business-card sized instant photos. The problem I have is - what do you really buy this for?? My daughter was given one as a gift. She is 12 and she… Read more
loves it. The camera and the pictures have a very retro feel. If you grew up with Polaroid photos you'll recognise the quality. A bit out of focus and the colours are washed out. You're not going to get bold, bright and sharp. You have to get up close, between 0.6 metres and 2.7m. You can choose the exposure you want - e.g. Inside, sunny day, cloudy day, etc.
It would probably come into its own at a sleep over, wedding reception, party etc where you can take goofy photos and hand them around. You wouldn't want to capture holiday landscapes with it, or top-quality portraits. Hipsters might find it a good way to express themselves artistically, I don't know. The pictures have a white border with enough room to right a caption or message. It is kinda cool having them shoot out the top, then waiting for them to develop. Takes me back to my childhood.
Something to keep in mind is that the film is EXPENSIVE. With a mobile phone or cheap digital camera you can take hundreds of pics of better quality and print the best ones for 10 cents or whatever at Big W or Harvey Norman or through an online printing service such as Snapfish. If you buy a 20 pack of film from Target it costs $29. So, every photo costs you $1.45. Considering a fair few don't turn out because of incorrect exposure, or moving subjects, blinking subjects whatever - that's a big outlay, especially for children. I did find 100 films on eBay with free shipping for $78 which makes it about half the price, but 78 cents a pic still isn't cheap when you're going to bin a few. And the cynical part of me is thinking that they won't make films for this camera forever, so at some point you'll have an empty, useless camera.
It's a gimmick, it's a toy, but it's very well made and it's fun. It's very comfortable to hold. This will never substitute for a digital camera + inkjet printer (or Big W / Harvey Norman / Snapfish printing) but if you want the novelty and the retro feel then this is the camera for you. The camera my daughter was given didn't come with any film at all, so make sure you buy a packet. If you are giving it as a gift get at least 20 because the recipient will quickly chew through 10 just mucking around with it. Solid, comfortable to hold, easy to load film, easy to use Photo quality unpredictable, films are very expensive, no film included with the camera
