its not a real concern. I alsho have some Alkaline rechargeable batteries and i was hoping this unit could be used to recharge those as well, but alas this unit cannot do that. Still a handy thing to have. Reasonably quick recharge times.

Can charge 4 batteries at a time. Does not recharge alkaline AAA or AA bateries.

Not the fastest charger on the market.
