I would like to express my extreme disappointment and concern regarding my child's experience at Funfields. Unfortunately, the management and staff's behavior was unacceptable and created a toxic environment for children. My child was subjected to screaming and threats, which was not only upsetting but also disturbing. I strongly advise against… Read more

taking children to Funfields due to the unacceptable behavior of the management and staff. The safety and well-being of children should be the top priority, and it's clear that Funfields falls short of meeting these expectations.

I hope you will take immediate action to address these concerns and ensure a safe environment for children.

Such a great day at Funfields! The rides and water attractions are fantastic especially on a hot day, but the staff really make the experience. Even on a busy day with lots of families around, every staff member we dealt with was calm, friendly and incredibly patient. They handled everything with professionalism, which made the day feel organised and enjoyable despite the crowds. Huge credit to the Funfields team!

Staff is not helpful at all and EXTREMELY rude! Robbed us for $280, forced us out, lied to us, made our 7yo cry... Also very rasist we felt! I'm contacting ombudsman to get our money back! Just unbelievable it happens in Australia! Very very disappointed...

FUNFIELDS IS AWESOME! – We had an awesome time at Funfields, we go back every year and enjoy it so much. They had the new amazing Lazy River and their new bumper cars too. Amazing waterslides and water play. So many amazing rides too. We love the fact that you can take along your own food and drinks, so it doesn’t break the bank with a large family, unlike another water… Read more

Very disappointing day out – Very disappointing experience: we waited 2 hours is a traffic jam on the road and into the Funfields car park, it was a total sell out so it was a 1 hr wait in ride lines (also because of the ‘sling shot’ ticket holders, what an unfair idea that is!!) and then we all ended up with gastro!!! I sent in a complaint about our dismal experience only to… Read more

receive a call a week later from a guy reading from a script, he denied the gastro could’ve of possibly come from the park and said “I’m just trying to think what we can do for you”, only to be told all the best and not be offered anything!!!! Shameful customer service. I wouldn’t give a star at all if I could.

Fabulous Family Day Out! – We had an amazing day at Funfields. The new attraction - Lava Lagoon Lazy River was everything I imagined. Great to have another attraction that caters for the parents. Staff were lovely, attentive and welcoming. The park is amazing, being an avid gardener, the landscaping detail is envied. So relaxing floating along the river admiring the beauty of the garden. Great family day out that caters for everyone. Thanks Funfields, we will be back!

Not friendly – There are too many rides water themed rides. Only thing is people from coloured backgrounds are treated differently to by supervisors. Supervisors say they are following policies but are not kind, empathetic or appreciative of people from coloured backgrounds. For me, I was encountered by two supervisors in 2 minutes by keeping my baby in a vip area. I requested 5 minutes and said I am fainting. They said no. Such a great gentleman.

Not fair – My family went to fun fields not the first time. I don’t agree with the sling shot passes yes I know they pay extra for them but to keep using them on the same ride while people who can’t afford them are waiting a hour to go on the same ride. Should be monitored better .

Lack of security makes funfields dangerous – We attended Funfields on a near capacity day. Another patron attending on the day threatened my son and my husband when we put our belongings on a vacant lounge when the park opened in the children’s play area. We moved our items to a different area of the park, and this patron followed us and continued to abuse us and threaten myself and my… Read more

family. This patron was not known to us before attending funfields and he was angry that we took a vacant lounge which he wanted for his friends. The vacant lounge is meant to be provided on a “first in, first served” basis and we were there first as we arrived prior to opening. I asked staff to call security but there was no one available to intervene aside from a young female lifeguard and no further action was taken against this patron as the staff that were present were very young and therefore had no authority to deal with the situation. The policy of funfields on their website states that patrons are removed from the theme park for aggressive, threatening or antisocial behaviour but in this case, no action was taken by management so they obviously didn’t think this matter warranted action. I can only assume that funfields think it is appropriate for 40 year old + males to aggressively abuse families with young children in the children’s play area.

I also dread to think how this matter could have escalated given that there was no security at the park at the opening time of 10am, as you can bring in eskies into the Themepark and there was no procedure for bags or eskies to be checked for knives or weapons. The patron that abused us was mentally unhinged given the way they yelled at myself, my young son and husband in the children’s swimming area and given the lack of security and the way we were threatened, I definitely would not bring my young family back to this place.

Further, on the day we attended, only one staff member was operating two children’s rides, being the carousel and snake ride. The staff member had to turn off one ride to then go and operate the other. People were waiting to go on both rides, but only one person operating means that management are skimping on having the appropriate levels of staffing and perhaps electricity costs of having both rides running at once? When I asked the staff member whether someone was sick and they were covering for an absence, they replied no, this is how it is.

We paid over $400 for entry (including $64 for our 3 year old who was 2cm over the 100 cm height limit and was charged at the gate) and we felt unsafe the entire time we were there for the day as we had to walk past the mentally unhinged patron to access other areas of the theme park. Based on our experience, we do not consider that this is a family friendly place given the lack of security presence and poor staffing levels operating rides.

Very disappointed! – Not happy at all. Me and my family were supposed to attend fun fields yesterday but the weather was not pleasant, we also have a 3 month old baby and a 2 year old- hours from whittlesea so not exactly ideal- I was told aslong as I called before 11am to reschedule our tickets that would be done but now apparently not anymore. We’ve lost all our… Read more

Terrible inexperienced and unprofessional – Be very careful with this theme park! My special needs son was discriminated and was unable to go on the toboggan because as it was clearly said my son is autistic. We returned two weeks later to find after discussing with the manager Karen that he was able to ride on the toboggan. He rode the toboggan that day with no issues. Following the… Read more

toboggan incident, my son went to ride the voodoo. The inexperienced operator was apparently distressed because he wanted us to justify my sons hidden disability. They quite clearly have a lot of issues as the numbers are quite low but the way that we have been treated is not ok. I warn all my friends to stay away from funfields. We've been members of adventure park and Luna park and we've never ever had any of these issues.

Shocking and disgusting customer service – Not our first time at Funfields, but definitely our last. Funfield's "supervisor" stuck her tongue out and pulled a clown face after I ended a redundant conversation. I can see she had clearly lost her cool so I ended the conversation and walked the other way. This "supervisor" followed me walking and continued to talk, then finally sticking her… Read more

tongue out and pulling a clown face at the back of my head. Yes, this information was given to me by a bystander who witnessed it, and my two daughters confirmed it too as they watched nearby.

What appalling and childish behaviour coming from a senior staff member.

We also witnessed a different staff member who tossed other people's towels to the wet ground because they were placed on empty and [clearly] not hired day loungers, on a cold and heavily raining day, and very close to closing time too.

As a business owner myself, I know how difficult it can be in customer service but never in over 35 years of my life, have I ever seen a business with this sort of customer service, especially coming from a senior staff. I am absolutely disgusted.

I definitely regret spending over $600 and taking my family here. I would happily pay double that for better customer service from staff members with a heart and more professionalism elsewhere.

Be aware of their discriminating booking systems – When I tried to book a pass to visit their theme park,I ordered Village Roadshow Locals One Pass Lite, it came to my attention that they actually charging a different price for local. To be considered a local you have to live in Queensland or in NSW with postcode of 2450-2490. Otherwise instead of paying $179 you have to pay $299. If you are… Read more

not in these defined geographical locations, you are not considered the 'local'. How discriminating this is, I can go to a South Australian restaurant not paying a high price for the same meal just because I am from Victoria. We don't pay a different state rate for Federal government services, we don't pay a different price for petrol, food or any other services just because we might come from a different state in Australia. I spoke to VR customer service on this and the lady on the phone kept on insisting this practice is not discriminating against non Queenslanders kept telling me what I said was not a fact but just my opinion. But in reality it is not my opinion that matters is what they put on their website that really matters.

Great value, lots to do – Flo and I had babysitting duties, namely the neighbours' little girl, and thought a treat to Funfields wouldn't go astray for any of us. Well, fast forward three hours and we could barely raise our heads off the ground but the little one was running around like a scarecrow. :) She went on all the rides and we managed a few while keeping our lunch down. A day to remember and you can take your pick who did!

Highly recommended, and we will be back! – We were blown away at how clean, fresh and well maintained this is! It looked like it opened yesterday, gardens were immaculate, the attractions and rides were in perfect, as-new appearance. The staff were amazing, helpful, friendly, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. Food was fresh and… Read more

cooked on-site, and there were plenty of places to sit under cover and eat. The variety of rides, water play and wave pools were more than I expected, and each was well fun, fun and hugely enjoyable. I couldn't recommend Funfileds enough, we absolutely will be back!!!!

Enjoyed the water slides but staff at end of day were awful and ridiculous – I went there a few months ago with a large group of people and I drove there with my partner and niece/nephew. We managed to enjoy many rides on the water slides but as the park was closing our day turned sour. It was my first trip to Funfields and no-one told me what time the parked closed, so we stayed on the lawn enjoying the weather after… Read more

the rides closed. At one point my nephew needed to go to the toilets but they were locked while many people were still inside the park. For that reason, he needed to walk away from were people were to find a tree. While he was relieving himself a staff member began running around yelling at groups of people telling them they had to leave and making out they were acting terribly for still be there.

I explained that we were waiting for my nephew so we couldn't carry all the bags. The staff member just picked up some of our bags and started taking them to the entrance/exit. He indicated he would leave them for outside the park and we could drive our car to that point and load them into our car from there.

When I drove my car to that point, someone from inside the park came to the fence and began telling us we couldn't load our bags at that point - even though another member of staff had just told us the opposite. I explained what happened and that person called over their internal radio for a truck to come and move our car.

While we were still loading our vehicle a massive forklift approached wanting to put the forks under the side of our vehicle to forcibly take it away. That said, before the truck had the chance we finished loading our vehicle and left.

Please note, the park was locked at this stage so no one was entering or exiting and we weren't blocking anyone. We enjoyed the rides but the staff at the end were out of control. It was like being in the twilight zone and the staff seemed like a law onto themselves.
