Funktown – I’ve been dealing with this business since the beginning. All my furniture bar my bed is from them. I can’t fault them. Great service..great pricing and ideal to deal with..cheers.
Poor quality poor service – Very unprofessional no help what so ever when it comes to warranty not very honest no after sale care manager is not interested or availible to get any form of communication
Unique items and furniture – Fast delivery and on time Unique quality furniture I Love my outdoor set and my planter Recommended very friendly staff I keep checking to order again very happy with service and style I wish they had shops closer to me
Above and beyond – I purchased a king size carved screen from funk town original. The delivery rate was amazing, and when the screen would not fit up the stairs, the gentleman lifted the screen onto the top of his truck on to my balcony. Great business
Terrible service, poor communication, lied about dates – After doing a special order for an item with an ETA of mid to late April and it not arriving, we saw on their Facebook page on 8th May that their container arrived. We messaged to get an ETA on our item as it was holding up a house renovation (a sink that needed to plumbed in at the start of a job). We were told that when they found the item they would contact us. By the 17th, still no communication so we messaged back and said we'd just come in for a refund of the $100 deposit because we had to go ahead and purchase an alternative item or the renovation would have been behind schedule and cost us a lot of money.
Sadly, we were denied a refund, offered a gift voucher instead or they would try to sell the item and give us a refund then. This just isn't acceptable or lawful.
On 2nd June, tried communicating with them to get the money back on their Facebook page where we got deleted and banned. In private messages, they explained their container arrived at the end of April and I asked why we were not notified it had at least arrived and that there was going to be a further delay. The response was "Why would be contact her? There's 500-1000 items to unpack"
They also told us that because of the delays clearing customs they had been charged $600. This is highly unprofessional and we feel an attempt at a guilt trip. With 500-1000 items in a container and a $600 charge, it would add approx $1 to the cost of each item and has absolutely nothing to do with us as an end consumer.
I'm sorry, but when you take a deposit off someone, being contacted is something that's needed. They then insisted the item was ready for delivery at the beginning of May, which it wasn't. We have screenshot of all the correspondence and now have to waste our time going to Fair Trading to get the $100 back.
