Love the shoes and sunglasses – The items ordered were received so quickly, the shoes are lovely and the sunglasses look great. Very happy with the quality. The shoes are narrow fit which suits and the sunnies are stylish! The Items received came exactly as advertised - love them both. Have bought from Funkis before and will again.
Size guiding sucks and couldn’t return – Even on sale these shoes are worth a bit. Followed the size guide to the letter. Site says “go up a size if you have a wider foot”. First off, why - I don’t need a longer footbed. Second, have never had issues with the width of my foot in any other size or style, always standard sizing and no discomfort or issues with stretching etc. So logically I went my size according to guide. They are unbelievably tight, like cutting off blood flow and unusable. Had my same size foot friend try on in case I could give to them - they also found way too tight and unwearable. Can’t return because they’re on sale which I read up front but this is online shopping and I don’t believe the size guide is accurate. Or the shoes are made for dolls with long feet? Great style, light weight, good colour and leather looked and felt good quality. Just absolutely recommend against buying online
Quality has gone down – I bought a pair of Funkis 5 years ago and they lasted me 5 years, an amazing shoe which was a strong leather, a hard wood and a strong buckle. My favourite pair of shoes I own. I finally ran them into the ground and decided to purchase a new pair only for them to arrive today made out of completely different material. The wood is cheaper and not varnished, the leather straps are thin and breakable and I think the buckle won't hold for long. Very disappointed as they were $200 with delivery. How sad that such a good brand would use cheaper materials and charge the same price.
Products are good, online shop frustrating – I have bought from Funkis many times online but not for the past 12 months until now. They have changed where their online goods are distributed from (Paddington) as they used to be very accurate and efficient when it was run from their Bondi shop which is now closed. So, they advertised an EOY online sale and I went onto the site the minute it opened and bought some reading glasses, blue clogs and a Marimekko teapot that were all half price and showing as available online. I paid in full + shipping - over $200+.
Items shipped in a week and they sent me red not blue clogs, and no teapot. There was no packing slip or receipt in the box. And so started my long email trail. I was told the teapot was probably coming from somewhere else and would turn up eventually ! As for the wrong clogs, they didn't offer any reply paid options, I had to pack them up and pay for postage myself which they would refund. Another week passes and it turns out the teapot is out of stock and not really coming at all. I am not offered anything as compensation apart from the standard - gee, we're really sorry.
I buy a lot online and this was just amateur hour - in every way. Maybe I was just unlucky and the person I was dealing with had no idea. First she 'forgot' my refund, then she refunded someone with a similar name and forgot me again and then the refund took a week to get from them to paypal as it was continually in pending mode. I still haven't had the $ put into my credit card.
Such a frustrating experience and really unprofessional.
Having said that I do love their clogs and products but will never buy online from them again.
