Futurlec Australia

Dealt with them for years with no problems – I have been buying hobbyist quantities for years with them without any problems whatsoever. I usually go for the cheaper postage rates and today (26/7) received my parcel which they dispatched on the 12/7. I live in Tasmania which further delays postal delivery but I have no complaints. Occasionally I buy components from the USA with a very… Read more
prompt delivery but usually the freight costs more than what the parcel contains. This is a bit like like electronic brand reviews. You always hear of the faulty ones but not the ones that are still running perfectly. For me Futurlec is a good economical company for my needs.
Still waiting and wont refund or supply goods – Placed an order and was told there would be a delay, after several check ups they stopped responding. its been a year with no items. I even asked for a refund after waiting for 3 months. DO NOT BUY FROM!!!!
still waiting – Ordered thinking was a Melbourne based company: two months in still no delivery....Not much effort taken..awful website with no way of tracking orders or viewing your invoices. do not recommend!
Okay if you're not in a hurry – It takes two weeks for Futurlec to fulfil orders but yeah you get your cheaper components. Otherwise go with the likes Jaycar, Altronics, Element 14, Digikey etc. Yes, I can confirm they're actually based in Bangkok.
Scammers...Buyer beware – 2 months after my order was made and paid for, they still have not sent, and now stopped responding to emails. Avoid dealing with this website as it is a scam.
Always a pain – It's very rare the order will not have problems, sloooow shipping, bad customer service, cheap components. Buy elsewhere. Last order i paid for express and three weeks later no sign, they then wait for me to contact them to find out items were not in stock, no email, no call, nothing.
Shady company, avoid like plague – I bought a couple of items. The next day they emailed me saying that some components were not in stock so I asked for a cancellation. After one month I realized that I had not been refunded so I tried emailing them but they ignored all my emails. Had to call the bank to issue a chargeback. Scummy Asian company.
OK Range, Prices, But Slow – Like many, I fell for the presentation that they are located in Australia. They are located in some non-disclosed location in Asia. I've done two orders with them, both took a long time to ship and postage was slow also. On the second order, it sat for weeks so I contacted them and it was apparently waiting on some back-ordered items. Website said… Read more
nothing about there being nil stock. After requesting those items be removed from the order, it still took a ages to ship out.
On the plus side, they have an interesting range and good prices. But if you actually need the parts for something, forget it.
Terrible company! – They charged me for my order and shipped it to me... When it arrived, they'd sent the wrong items. They agreed to resend the correct items, but then a day later, told me they had no stock, and would refund the cost of the items (in 2-3 days), but not the shipping... 2 weeks later, and I haven't gotten any refund!
My experience with Futurlec – I bought many items from Futurlec over many years. Certainly I've seen "stuff-ups" - once they delivered a packet meant for another customer. I found they always correct the problem. I've always had a good experience in dealing with this company. Alan (sales manager) always answers my e-mail. - Les Smith
Futulec is a Thai based company, not Australia and orders dont arrive until months after placed – I ordered some electronics parts from Futurelec Australia. They pretend to be Aussie company that is why i bought from them but I recently discovered it is just a front for Thai based company. I wanted these components to arrive within a week but there is no chance of this happening. Other searches on the internet suggest consumers wait months for… Read more
their orders and often they are incorrect or factory seconds.
They do not reply to emails when attempting to find the status of your order. It is a very bad situation to defraud the customers like that. I think it might be best to make a complaint to the ACCC or NSW Fair Trading.
