Could not pass up the deal I got on this through Outbax, I paid $264 delivered! Great little 800w generator! It was bought as backup to charge my 1200w Power Station, when no Solar or 240v is available.The battery's AC input charge is max 600w so the 800w is more than enough. easily anything within spec. I added oil and fuel engaged the choke, primed the fuel, it started easily on only the second pull, then on the first kick after turning off and restarting after a few minutes. Cheers

We are very happy with our Gentrax Generator, it saved our holiday last year as we do a lot of bush camping. The fridge blew up the batteries went flat, so we used the Generator for 5 weeks. It was so good on fuel, glad we bought it. Show reply

Had it for a couple if years, only ran it once to test, then I prepped it for storage. When I needed it to work, it ran fine for half an hour before an overload warning turned it off. inverter failed. Gentrax wouldn't cover it as it was out of warranty, and offered half price on a new inverter board. So that's better than nothing.

But frankly, getting 1.5 hours out of this unit is not good, and I was very badly let down by the unit when I really needed it (3 day power outage).

Delivered quickly, good price way cheaper than solar batteries run well. I like my generator a lot. The customer service is impeccable. Show reply

Gentrax G3500 open frame generator – Very happy with our Gentrax open frame inverter generator which we bought from Outbax. This is our second review and our thoughts are still the same as we thought of it first time round. fuel towards the end of an eight hour day, pretty good we reckon. As we live far NW regional Tassie unfortunately power interruptions are common, which given the rural area no surprising so we now have no worries at all.

Excellent inverter generator for a reasonable price – Received my Gentrax GT2200 inverter generator two days after ordering directly from Gentrax. time on a full fuel load was about 4.5 hours. Noise level was very good indeed - very close to that of similar models from Honda and Yamaha. Build quality appears to be excellent.

There are frequent grid outages where I live and this unit is perfect for keeping essential appliances running. I would purchase this unit again in a heartbeat.

Dipping my toe into lithium – I purchased my gentrax 200ah lifepo4 battery on Bunnings online as a third party seller. Product was on special. Cheap cheap but I did some research and at that price it was worth dipping my toe. Delivery was excellent. So now fitted and working to replace 2x 120 ah agms. So far plenty of power . qtr. Hoping that I get a fraction of the 2000 cycles advertised. So far so good. Time will tell. I fitted a victron charger and a smart shunt to monitor and charge it so I will be able to tell if it’s degrading prematurely.

Bloody good unit – Had mine for 3 years and use for caravanning as well as a work backup where power isn't available. Starts first pull 99% of the time. Ran 2 fridge/freezers, tv, internet and lights when power was off in West Gippsland recently. 2 fuel tanks kept us happy for 3 days and, thanks to a gas wall heater, we were warm as the generator ran the heater fan. Show reply

So much better than expectations – Currently gold prospecting in outback WA. Temperature has been in the mid to high 40,s. The generator runs flawlessly in one of the harshest environments. Fuel economy is as advertised and the reliability is better than expectations. Brilliant machine providing all the power we need. Disgraceful piece of equipment – I have been in constant contact with both Gentrax and Outbax camping regarding this so called generator and all I’ve got is return it to us for service….the shipping cost is in excess of $200 so that’s not an option. answer to that one…..I have had this generator for some time and it will only start after 60 or 70 pulls and I have had a complete wrist fusion which makes this difficult to achieve…wth the help of my son we have managed to start it on two occasions but have now given up as it’s near mission impossible. Despite the Gentrax representative telling me he would achieve a satisfactory outcome for me, it appears that he too has now put it in the too hard basket….disgraceful actions by both Gentrax and the retailer Outbax camp,ing
