Poor quality and design – I would not recommend at all as the design is flawed. I have gone through 2 brushes in less than a year with the same fault. The barrel has came away from the handle which is held together with a tiny screw. The 1st brush was replaced as it was under 6 months old, however the 2nd brush only came with a 21 day warranty! I would NEVER buy from GHD again with this type of service on a product that is obviously flawed.

Rather expensive, but worth the money for the results – My hairdresser, of whom I have been a client for 18 years, uses GHD brushes in his salon. After observing him at work on my hair using a GHD ceramic round brush to blow dry the ends under (and hunting for a replacement for my own cheap supermarket purchase of 20years+), I asked his advice and purchased this brush from him. It's not a cheap brush but here are all the advantages:

- a longer brush, and with a well weighted handle, tapered to fit your hand whilst holding and rotating it

- matte surface handle so your slightly damp hand doesn't slip whilst holding it

- the ceramic barrel and bristles don't catch or snag in your hair, resulting in no hair wrapped around the barrel

- as the bristles 'glide' through your hair whilst blowdrying, your hair is dried and 'polished' (sorry, non professional speak but this is how I would describe it, being a layman)

- my dried bob hairstyle retains its shape a day longer than when I used a cheap plastic brush (no, I didn't change hairdryers, just the brush).

I wish I had replaced my old hairbrush sooner - this is the only GHD product I own and I'll be buying the size 2 version as well.
