However, it suffered from a slight lag and cursor wobble on my MacBook Pro (early 2011). Hence I started looking and came across the M7700B on the 'net. A very fortunate find which in fact has bettered the 5000 benchmark. One important piece of advice… Read more
though - if you have a Mac and want to install the mouse on both the Mac and Win (Boot camp) sides, be sure to install it on the Win side first. (If like me you inadvertently install it on the Mac side, first rename then delete it. After installing in Boot camp, it will work on the Mac side anyway). The cursor is precise, rock steady and there's no lag. The twin speeds (CPI) match Win7 and Mac excellently and the extra 2 buttons can compensate for the missing buttons on a Mac keyboard. In fact, you can use X-Mouse to program them however you like.. My right thumb's a little stiff so the fifth button is a little difficult for me to reach. I guess most people would have no problem. Otherwise, it's very light, compact and comfortable to hold.
