purchased it has a peachy tone. I mentioned this to the installer immediately and was advised that because the carpet was already being replaced due to faults that there isn’t anything that can be done. Very disappointing and not acceptable to expect customers to purchase top $ carpet that either has faults throughout or a completely different colour tone..

Product appears to be garbage – Sure looks ok, feels soft BUT after being down for a while there are so many ridges formed from needing re stretching. independent contractors so mot there issue to resolve. GH representative seemed an expert in nonsense responses. Probably his job. Generally, the product is in my experience, crap! Very very unhappy. So be warned!

Feels great but don’t believe the comments about not staining – It’s a lovely plush carpet. While the initial clean after puppy wee does remove all trace, within 3-4 weeks the stain returns. After 10+ times following instructions, it keeps returning.

in 2 - 3 days it would reappear. We have tried everything including professional cleaners provided by David Thomas from Godfrey Hirst. When it was done it looked good but same story, the stains reappeared. We even bought a carpet cleaning machine but nothing works, the stains reappear. So needless to say it is very frustrating and we can no longer put up with it and will need to find an alternative. Personally it seems that what you claim is false advertising. we will be interested to see what you say. In closing to let you know how disappointed we are as we have bought carpets from Carpet Court for our floor coverings and have never had any problems. It is interesting to read other reviews with the same problem.

Luxe soft and on trend in colour – We just had Eco Plus carpet laid after much consideration. Our previous carpet was wool and I was struggling with buying a nylon carpet plus we needed a pet and child/party friendly carpet, hence our choice. have mention. Yes there is shading and marking as you walk on it which I hoped to avoid, however, in saying that we are use to it now and it is not a concern. It vacuumes beautifully with a Dyson brush head although our flat head cleaner is fine also(note our twist pile is not too plush). I am interested in how it will wear/not fade over time and how stains will clean out. I will be writing blogs regarding my findings in these areas as time goes on. I do believe that Godfrey Hurst 's advertising and warranties should be honoured should I have a problem in the future, after all it was this information which sold the carpet. So to date we are happy with the carpet only time and mishaps will tell.

August 6th 2018 Update: Update August

We are stiil happy with the carpet. We have had a few pet mishaps and these were easily solved by cleaning with soapy water then followed by clean water. We carefully followed the cleaning recommendations to achieve a successful result. Because of this our neighbour is purchasing the exact carpet we have after our recommendation. So far still pleased.

Best carpet I’ve ever purchased – Every day when I walk into my lounge room I fall in love with the carpet all over again. It’s so plush and cosy and I’m especially looking forward to winter. cosy, easy to clean, beautiful to look at, and luxurious. I tell everyone that they can leave their shoes on, but they take them off to feel the carpet.

The kids just love relaxing in the lounge and playing on the carpet. Very satisfied customer.

June 5th 2018 Update: Still very happy.

It has been over 6 months since our carpet was installed and it still looks like day one. The grandchildren love playing on it. Now that it's winter our lounge room and bedrooms are so cosy. I highly recommend this carpet. It is excellent value and quality for money.

July 30th 2018 Update: 8 month review of carpet.

It is now 8 months since we had our carpet installed. I also have a matching rug in a high use area. Stains just wipe off. I'm so impressed.

Still very happy with my purchase.

January 5th 2019 Update: Best choice for my home.

It has been over a year now since we have had this beautiful carpet installed. Many of my friends that have seen it have also decided to instal carpet. This carpet is very easy to look after and still looks amazing. I have had bad knees for afew years now and I can confirm that since we changed our carpet to this super soft carpet, my knees no longer hurt. The stair case has especially made a huge difference. I was not expecting this to be the case but I have made no other changes in my lifestyle, except for the carpet. The extra cushioning makes a huge difference.

I highly recommend this soft carpet Eco + from Godfrey Hirst.

Worst carpet ever ! – Just had it laid and it's so bad that I am going to have to throw it out and replace it !! Wasn't given the brochure or told about the "characteristics" (ie problems) of this rubbish carpet. it replaced. Vacuum cleaner (even stick one) really hard to push/pull over carpet, so very difficult to clean. Not fit for purpose. Buyer beware !

Cleaning is a big issue – Have had eco+ carpet for a couple of years now. Despite Godfrey Hirst's claims this carpet does NOT come clean easily with cold water nor with professional cleaning. carpet very difficult for that reason -they say they're unable to get right into the fibres so some of the original problem remains and comes back to the surface. I have previously had wool carpets with none of these problems but thought I'd go 'eco-friendly' this time. I note that another reviewer makes similar comments.

False advertising, false warranties and Poor support Be aware of your consumer rights check ACL – Bought Eco+ in Feb 2019, did everything we were required to do to care for our carpet, same as we care for everything we own. their brochures (never given this info till after we complained) GH refused to be responsible for their durable, wear resistant, 25 year guaranteed carpet because the rep said it’s a “fibre” issue not a wear issue. Lucky ACL guarantees makes any wording they think covers them on a brochure obsolete ...Be sure to exercise your rights! Their guarantees are not worth the paper they are written on!

Carpet Excellence – We researched a range of quality carpets for a large media room in our home. Being a large open space we need to select the right colour and pile. Eco+ true Xtra carpet was the stand out carpet for our application. The 14mm pile also makes for good joins in a large room, it also has excellent softness under foot. Woo hoo – ... just had 24 broadloom metres of 'Woodland Avenue' installed and it looks great! It is installed over 'Cloud 9' underlay and the underfoot feeling is wonderful. IMHO a brilliant product. Wouldn’t recommend – We recently installed the Godfrey Hirst Costal Weave in the colour Casablanca. On the positive the carpet feels beautiful and plush and looks great. On the downside this carpet marks incredibly easily and any mark which you try to remove ( by blotting with water as recommended) leaves a water mark so there are now blotches everywhere.… Read more

Thankfully we did not install it in the main living area as 4 months in the bedrooms are quite marked. We have had Godfrey Hirst carpet before but we are incredibly disappointed this time.

To date, the carpeted bedroom has only been used for storage with occasional access yet there are numerous "pulls" in the loop pile. I was assured by the retailer that joins would not be visible but they certainly are. Horrified to think how badly this product is going to perform once we actually start using the room, as it already looks far worse than our 15+ year old wool carpet in previous residence! Soft underfoot is about the only nice thing I can say about this product.

Disappointing – Unfortunately our company, Central Real can not recommend Godfrey Hirst as we had a disappointing and unprofessional experience with them concerning floorboards that were installed in one of our developments.

So Luxurious to look at and walk on – I was surprised at just how beautiful the carpet looks now it has been laid. It is a bit hard to tell what an overall look will be like just from a sample piece. The final finish is so much better than I expected and I am delighted! I chose the Silken Touch range and am very happy indeed. Very plush, good colour choice – This carpet is so plush, it feels very soft and comfortable underfoot. Unfortunately, tracking is more obvious than I had thought it would be, so every footstep leaves shading, which is unfortunate, but just something to be aware of when purchasing. Otherwise, I love the colour choices. We chose dark grey and it goes well with whites. We have lived with furniture & packed boxes in my lounge room, all that time.

I have spoken to Godfrey Hirst many times & have emailed , someone was going to get back to me & of course we have heard nothing, yes you replaced the faulty carpet, but there has never been so much as an apology.

We are out of pocket from the inconvenience of taking time off from work to have carpet laid twice!

Your after sales service needs to be better when someone has invested a good deal of money in to your carpet, and it is faulty, and you treat your customers like we have done something wrong.

eco+ Summertones feels and looks great – This carpet looks and feels really soft and plush. However is quite solid and robust to walk on. We are very happy although it is still early days, only a week since being laid and hope the stain and soil resistance promises prove valid.  Show reply

By no means is this a negative point but just something to be aware about.... even the thinest version of the eco + is nice and plush so vacuuming it is like undertaking a workout, however as I said I love this.... as the carpet is awesome under foot.
