Apparently, not enough available funds at the time. I was unable to access the funds through back transfer for several business days, extending over the weekend as well. After 3 days I went back to question staff. I only realised that the gold I sold was worth thousands of dollars. I had trusted the staff. Spoke to [Name Removed], State Manager [Name Removed] and Manager/ Owner [Name Removed] who never returned contact when I requested a return of my jewellery after payment had not been received immediately. It took days and days. The gold I sold was mainly 9 ct which averages $65-$70 per gram. It was over 16 grams. They shortchanged me without the value alone of my curb chain heart vintage bracelet. I asked [Name Removed] as a good will to exchange a return of the $750 for my gold. Never again! I lost a lot of money through trusting this business.
Avoid at all cost. Offered me $300 for 5g of 24k gold!
Checked current scrap gold prices and went to GBC Midland Gate only to be beaten up over the price!! They tried to sweeten the deal by 10% because I was a first time seller, and was offered a ridiculously low price, which I declined..The buyer was extremely reluctant to hand my ring back..Sent an email to GBC politely asking for the current scrap… Read more
price for 18carat white gold 6g ring, but their reply was to go to an outlet for 'comprehensive' valuation!! Didn't answer my question at all..Preying on people like myself (72yo) on the age pension, making it sound like I get a great deal..AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
These people offered an extremely low ball offer. I knew the value of my gold so I took it elsewhere and was offered double the offer. Needless to say very happy with that outcome and would never reccomend gold buyers central. I always expect some fluctuations between businesses but half the value. RIP OFF! I seriously cant believe these people are still in business
Avoid this business at any cost. Recently went to sell 9ct scrap gold to their Hornsby branch in Westfield. They offered me $20.79 per gram. Luckily, I checked the prices beforehand and questioned their price. I also rang around some other gold (scrap) buying businesses. The other companies were offering to buy 9ct scrap gold for $50 per gram. What a disgrace! I cannot even call this business anymore. I call it theft.
Seller beware. If financial difficulty is making you sell your bling go into Adelaide to get a fair price. This business offered my friend ( for 9 karat gold) $20 per gram, the going price is over $58.01 per gram. Of course its perfectly legal for them to offer anything they want. But my concern is that people who are desperate, not knowing… Read more
better, may be tempted to make a quick deal and get ripped off. They offered around $2k for a 160 gram 9 karat bracelet. The going price is $58.01 per gram, which would have been $921.00, bearing in mind they need to make a profit, even half of that, even $4k would have been understandable. Avoid this business and find somebody honest in the City, there are plenty of gold buyers.
