This stuff wouldn’t even stick my smoke alarm hinge on ….I broke it off! It is absolutely useless! I’ve tried it on posters and even then it’s a fail
Bought it today to hang pictures and they keep falling off of the wall this stuff is crap
Purchased in for $15.
Absolutely disappointing and dangerous, How can they advertise the strength of this product when it fails. I've tried to attach a magnet knife bar twice on to ceramic tiles and both times after a few hours we had knife's flying every where. This is false advertising and not exactly a cheap product it's actually dangerous.
Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse Retail Stores for $24.
Good double-sided mounting tape – I needed a clear double-sided mounting tape for a craft item (rope around the edges of a plaster casting, photo attached), and came across this Gorilla tape at Woolworths. This tape is really sticky, in fact so sticky that it is quite hard to remove the clear liner. The recommendation is to " pinch and stretch a corner of the adhesive until the liner lifts off from the tape." By the time I managed to do this, this that part of the tape had shriveled up and had to be cut off (about 1/4", i.e. 6mm). Though, once the liner was removed and the shriveled part cut off, the tape was easy to apply and stuck really well to the plaster and the rope. We've previously used glue to attach the rope to finish the surrounds, and that was a really messy mission. So, this is a far better solution and I am very happy with my purchase.
Description on the front: The tape will hold up to 15 lbs (6.8kg), i.e. needing 4" (100mm) of tape to hold one pound (450g). On the back of the packaging there are pictures how the tape is to be mounted. Read "Directions"; Important"; and "Tips for use" on the back of the packaging to ensure the tape is suitable for the project. I am not sure whether I would hang a mirror on any kind of sticky tape. I've used double-sided Scotch tape before and I am finding the Gorilla tape better. I also like it because it is clear.
