Harman Kardon AVR 360

Do not buy harmon kardon - harmon-kardon service culture – I initially purchased the theatre system from Harvey-Norman. Whilst the unit worked as expected, a month prior to conclusion of the warranty it stopped working. I called Harvey-Norman and was directed to Convoy International, the Harmon-Kardon representative company. Interestingly, the staff at Harvey Norman wished me well working with Convoy??? I wish they had told me that before I bought the unit!
The theatre system fault was first reported in May 2013 and at November 2013 there is still very little progress from Convoy International. After almost three months of phone calls they directed me to a warranty service centre. The service centre has had the unit from August and are still waiting for Convoy to respond to their communications.
I am cannot understand how Convoy have survived as their service culture is amongst the poorest I have encountered. I would strongly recommend against anyone buying Harmon-Kardon simply because of the service culture which varies from non-existant to incompetent. Convoy warranty administrations staff are poor at returning calls or administering promises. I have made numerous calls only to get an answering machine, and many of the calls are not responded to. After complaining to an appropriate staff member about the failure of Convoy to administer the warranty they made a promise to send a new unit. That was almost eight weeks ago, and as yet not even an acknowledgement of the issue from Convoy.
Save yourself the heartache and shop for another brand.
