AVOID THIS CAT RESCUE !!! – I would give them a 0 if I could, I applied to adopt a 4 month old kitten from this rescue and was approved, I jumped through all the hoops that were required of me plus extra and had to deal with [Name Removed] who was extremely rude, she has absolutely no interpersonal skills whatsoever, she doesn't reply to her emails and spoke to me in a rude and demeaning manner, she called me after her foster carer [Name Removed] related something that I had said to her but failed to include exact details of what I ACTUALLY said resulting in the founder giving me the third degree on the phone and treating me like some moron who had no clue about how to look after cats and speaking to me in an abrupt rude and blunt manner, I have had cats all my life and they have all lived to a ripe old age and were well loved and cared for, she is not professional at all, it took her over a week to reply to my email regarding paperwork of vet history, microchip no: etcetera, which she refused to give to me until after a 2-week trial period was over, her excuse for not replying to my email for over a week was she had personal problems, sorry but that doesn't come into it when you're running a business/rescue, hand the responsibility over to someone who can take care of it in the meantime, she was really pushy about making payment before I had even had a meet and greet with the kitten but I insisted on the meet and greet first which she wasn't very happy about, once I had the meet and greet I organised on the spot a day and time to pick up the kitten and paid the adoption fee, my daughter was coming with me so she had to organise her time around it as well, on the day, 2 wks after the meet and greet I was sent a text message in the morning confirming pick up time that evening, which I confirmed, and then only 3 hours before I was to pick up the kitten I received another text message, not a phone call but a text message, telling me that the adoption was cancelled because the kitten's sibling who had been adopted out already was not coping without her brother and after discussion with their so-called cat Whisperer, lol, they were taking her back and had decided that the kitten I was adopting should be adopted out with his sister instead, did this not occur to them when deciding how these kittens should be adopted out and whether they should be adopted together or not ? as it turned out this was a lie as suspected, which she finally admitted after she posted screenshots on her Facebook page of the personal email I sent her expressing my annoyance, there were negative comments on her Facebook page about her similar behaviour but they were deleted and after I commented she deactivated reviews, all in all this whole situation was a totally negative upsetting and very stressful experience, I would never recommend this rescue to anyone, and seriously [Name Removed] go get yourself some interpersonal skills if you think its ok to speak to someone in an arrogant rude and demeaning manner and boasting that your the best rescue in Melbourne above all others !
