Hidden Alchemy

A new favourite – I decided to try Hidden Alchemy's fragrances after an ad caught my eye and I found that they were a local business and that their fragrances were not only clean and vegan but sounded intriguing. So I decided to make a blind purchase of their Mystery Box, containing a hand-picked selection of a 50mL eau de parfume (EDP), a 15mL perfume oil, and a discovery set of 2mL sprays of all seven of their EDP fragrances at a great price. I also purchased their perfume oil discovery set so I could sample their fragrances as perfume oil and EDP.

The mystery fragrances were selected with care. I received "La Boheme" as the EDP and "Flores Amore" and "Ode to Africa" in the perfume oils (the lovely Audrey actually sent one separately as it was part of their promotion), and I love them!

My only critique would be that I wished the "Ode to Africa" oil was stronger as it's so delicate and fades fast. "La Boheme" is slightly exotic and sophisticated and yet comforting and lingering. "Flores Amore" is the fragrance I would have chosen blindly because of the favourite notes, so I am grateful I was given the chance to fall for the other two as well.

The fragrance descriptions and reviews on the site are a great guide, but the scents themselves you need to try for yourself. A couple of them were more unisex, but there wasn't one that I disliked. I've purchased a discovery set from a different local fragrance house before and found fragrances that I couldn't wear no matter how I wanted to, so I was really impressed with Hidden Alchemy and I want them to stay around so I can get their fragrances again!
