Absolutely disgusting, mashed meat of some sort but it wasn’t prawns and the smell was wrong Show details
Man do I wish there was minus stars. Absolutely disgusting. No prawna and brown mushy stuff in the middle. Absolutely worst product ever bought. Show details
Disgusting, wouldn’t feed it to a starving dog. Photos on packet are extremely misleading. After cooking, the product comes out grey and ragged; filled with cheap, tasteless ingredients - I’m not joking when I say tasteless, there’s no flavour to these dumplings at all. Absolute slop. DO NOT BUY. Show details
Ridiculously bad. Though you do get warned by the ingredients list, which includes a lot of crap and 13% prawns. Which means there’s a lot more crap than there is prawns. So really they should be called Crap Dumplings. Got them for half price at Colesworths: $4.25 instead of $8.50. Not worth $2. Maybe $1 as a joke present for someone you really don’t like. Absolutely terrible. Opened the bag, and everything was frozen in one big clump. Dumplings have very little filling, and filling is a mystery brown filling with some of the smallest prawns/shrimps you'll ever see. Was expecting pieces of prawn chopped alongside herbs and maybe a small amount of binder. Not even worth purchasing at half price. Show details
Absolutely disgusting! There are no prawns, only a whole lot of mush. Show details
Don't buy these. They are tasteless and contain next to no prawns. They look nothing like the enticing picture on the front of the packet. On the back of the packet they assert that they are stuffed with juicy prawns- what a joke! Show details
Don’t buy – Please don’t buy these. I thought maybe I got a dud pack. But no! Reading reviews on here I have to agree. I had to put water in them to stream first (came in one big clump!) like it had been thawed then refrozen. They were wrinkled in a very weird way? I found prawn shells in them. I actually topped the other different brand gyoza with them. I… Read more
could see the other brand were ten times better looking an tasting. I won’t be buying these ever again. We couldn’t eat them they were so terrible. They have water chestnut diced in them which makes them even weirder! I’d say look the other way even if they are half price! Do not be tempted!! I got them half price an will just throw out the other pack I got
Not eating poison .. photos speak a thousand words – Didn't even take them out of the bag .. how come Australia is so backwards when it comes to this stuff ? ? Show details
Don't buy this product – Worst dumplings I've ever eaten! Tasteless and stingy. You'll need a microscope to find the prawn inside, let alone anything else. What an absolute rip off (even at half price). Show details
Awful taste – This is a bit disappointing. They dont use actual meat I found they are using soy mince.I am unsure why these have fridge space while more deserving products are left out. Show details
Never buy anything from this brand – Actually tastes like dirt. I'm Asian, lived in Asia most of my whole life, had some of the cheapest frozen dimsims back home and in Australia and I've never tasted anything as bad as their products. It's not just these dumplings, it's the rest of them too, like the baos Show details
Seriously disappointed – All the bad reviews were 100% accurate! Shame on Woolworths to accept this product, as I was only purchasing the product as it was on 50% discount yesterday. Along with other reviews, I could NEVER justify purchasing this product or any products from this company. The name of the company is NOT reflected in any quality product. There were a lot… Read more
of fillers with the tiny small prawns. It is true that when I took out the contents to steam, many of the dumplings looked very much like refrozen again. For anyone wanting decent dumplings, get the locally made Chinese dumplings sold in Asian grocery shops, and their full price is still cheaper than this below par product from Hongkong Kitchen.

Worst dumplings ever – I’ve just purchased these from Woolworths. Frankly these are the worst dumplings I’ve ever had the misfortune to try. They were frozen together in a big clump, so appears they’ve been thawed and refrozen. What the heck is the goo in the middle of them? No recognisable prawns. Taste like crap. I’m not eating them. Taking them back to Woolworths.… Read more
Just looked at productreview.com.au - I wish I did before buying them - Consistent 1 star reviews. Hang your head in shame Hong Kong Dim Sim Kitchen.
No prawns, just some mushy sweet orange substance – Horrendous. No prawns, just some mushy sweet orange substance. I have asked and received a refund from Woolworths for false advertising, and you should too.
First and last purchase – Spending my money on these "prawn" dumplings was a mistake I won't repeat. The first problem was that most of them were frozen together in a big clump. The second was that the casings of several were already split and losing the brown-coloured contents. The third was that cooking them turned them to slimy mush interspersed with the mystery brown… Read more
stuff. They might still have tasted all right, but they didn't. I was reminded slightly, and not in a good way, of the dehydrated chicken noodle soup of my childhood. I'm not sure that I've ever bought a worse food product.
Worst thing I ever put in my mouth – Worst thing I ever put in my mouth. Horrible product. Bought the prawn & pork siu mai. No prawns at all. Tastes like the worst soy sauce pork with flour fillers. Show details
Awful, inedible – I agree with all other reviews, as these dumplings are awful & no sign of prawn. I bought the prawn, pork & mushroom Sui Mai too, yuk. Inedible. Never again. Show details
Worst dumpling I’ve ever eaten ! – Yuk ! The manager of this company needs to be tied down and fed these things into him . Disgusting is being too nice to rate these shocking dumplings. DON’T BUY THEM IN FACT DON’T EVEN EAT THEM YOU'LL BE SORRY YOU DID ! Show details
Prawnless prawn dumplings – Opened the package, all the dumplings were frozen together in 3 lumps which means some Muppet in the supply chain has allowed them to defrost and re-freeze. Not really even safe to eat. It certainly wasn't me transporting them home, they were in the freezer inside 10 minutes and were the last thing I bought at Woolworths Fisherman's Bend. I pan… Read more
fried/steamed them anyway. They were completely devoid of flavour and there was no evidence of prawn or prawn flavour. The filling was just some kind of brown mince. Avoid.
Worst dumplings I've ever had – I've lived in Hong Kong for more than 20 years, this prawn dumplings were the worst dumplings I've ever had. Taste and texture both were terrible, couldn't even find any prawn inside. Wasted my money! Show details
Terrible quality – Mushy filling and bland taste. I don't think there was even any prawn in them. Threw them all out after a couple bites. Show details

Horrible dumplings – My dumplings was a bit clump of mushed up mess. Instructions say cook from frozen but ended up being raw in the middle and felt like glue. Filling is quite tasteless. Ended up throwing it in the bin after 2 bites. Show details
Inedible – If I could have given them 0, I would have. Pastry passable but filling inedible. Filling was stodgy, and tasteless with no discernible ingredients. Worst dumplings ever eaten. Show details
Hong Kong dim sim kitchen prawn Dumplings the worst dumplings – These dumplings have about 90% dough and I am not sure what the rest is we steamed them and we couldn’t eat them it was just like putting a lump of dough in your mouth
