Good little hand vac – Ok I've owned this for probably 8 years I think. I've not used the wet side much, I have for the odd spill. I mostly use it for cleaning up crumbs here and there. It still works well. Still sucks great, for what it is. It was like $60 or something, I don't remember but still works fine. It's on the wall, holds charge, I use it here and there and… Read more ·  1

leave it off charge. Then when it finally dies, I charge again. Also good for bugs. Only giving 4 stars not 5 because of the opening, Idk if there's ever been accessories for it but not accessories don't exist.

Hoover HH5220 Handivac 12V Wet and Dry - Unbeatable – Back on 22.2.15 I purchased the exact same Vacuum cleaner (see that in a Prior review) but after finally "giving up the ghost" I purchased a new one exactly the same through eBay on 28.7.21, for $119.00. As I am quite fastidious with any product I buy, I was able to use the "material dust bag" from my old Vac for my new Machine and keep the other… Read more ·  2

as a spare for the future if needed. I am sure with the same careful care that this one will last the nearly 6.5 years as my prior machine. I firmly believe in being honest about Products I purchase so that it helps others regardless of it being a positive or a negative Review.

Extraordinarily bad – This is very close to the worst product of any type I've ever bought. Within weeks the battery was functioning poorly. It became unusable within about two months. Before that it functioned barely adequately, the suction being passable at very best. The charging device was extremely low-quality and difficult to use - the connection was sloppy… Read more

and un-intuitive. A couple of times I returned to the charging device to find that it had stopped charging (or had presumably not been charging in the first place)

Cleaning out the filter was also difficult and unpleasant.

Atrocious. I would never consider a Hoover product again.

USLESS junk – I wish I had read the reviews before wasting my money on this machine. The suction is strong for about 10 seconds before it slowly declines and by 30 seconds is pretty much useless. Even when brand new this was the case. This is after having been sitting on the charger for 24 hours or more. I use it on bathrook tiles and low-pile carpet. I'm very surprised as Hoover have had a good name for years but this model lets their name down. Show details

Battery sucks- not the machine! – Bought a hoover 12v and worked well got about 18-24 months. The battery life is non existent now as it sucks at about 5% power for a minute and dies. Wouldn’t have bothered about a review but I use it at best 1 or twice a month so if you calculated they were expensive vacuums!!!

So far so good – The Godfrey's salesman told me that I needed to get a unit with a lithium-ion battery and not to bother with a 7.5 volt appliance. Probably good advice. It works a treat with small clean up jobs, especially keeping my car and car seats clean. It is really a bother to be pulling out the vacuum cleaner for such a small job, and the hand-held is… Read more

very convenient. I see one review notes that the battery collapses after 18 months. Let's see. Maybe they have improved the battery life

Great for 18months with very light use then battery died – When It was new it was very good, but after 18 months of very light work (convenient that!) the battery collapsed rapidly over 2 - 3 weeks to the point where it is useless. Has been used for household purposes only and not worked hard and cleaned after each use. Carpet floors and furniture. We purchased a Hoover product because they used to be relieable. Clearly that is no longer the case.  Show details

Good product for price – Wanted a small handheld vac for the quick clean up jobs between regular vacuuming. Specifically to clean up the small wood fragments around the wood heater and the fluff that appears in the sliding door tracks. The attachment is really good as it fits neatly between the tracks. I have also used it to vacuum the dirt after a broom sweep, pick up… Read more

cotton from a hard floor and table after sewing and pick up the odd bit of sox fluff on the carpet. Battery life is short (about 10 minutes with continuous use) but this hasn't been an issue as the jobs are finished in a few minutes and I leave it in the charging station when not in use. Lightweight and easy to empty. I have not used it for wet spillages (comes with a second attachment for this) so unable to comment on it's performance for this. After daily use for the past 2 weeks I am very satisfied with it's performance.
