SCAM!!! Stolen money, no products – Placed an order last week, funds were deducted from my credit card, woke up to an email on Monday saying "We haven't been able to process your payment, please pay $X by bank transfer." unknown amount of time to get my money back, but they are unable to tell me why this has happened or give me any further information. They have now stopped answering the phone and are completely uncontactable.
I have reported this scam to the police.
Avoid these scammers at all costs!
Best service yet – Shopped around and found that the store was the best around, quick, cost effective, painless and helpful. Retail success right here, am looking forward to continuing business with this company.
Kitchen Cutting Board Rip Off – The three boards I ordered from Hospitality Superstore were advertised with the dimensions 300mm X 450mm X 13mm thick. On the arrival of my cutting boards it was immediately apparent that the boards were not 13mm thick. I subsequently measured the boards with a micrometer and the first board measured was 11.49mm thick with the other two slightly… Read more
thicker.
I contacted Hospitality Superstore re this discrepancy and was later informed by [name removed] from Customer Service & Sales that they had contacted the supplier who replied back that tolerances are plus/minus 1.5mm per batch.
I am familiar with the machine that makes cutting boards and can categorically say that the manufacturing tolerances are much tighter than those stated by the supplier.
Further, by manufacturing the boards at 11.50mm thick instead of the advertised 13mm thick, this represents a saving in material costs to the manufacturer of a whopping 11.53%. A damned good saving to be had over a 12 month period. The last contact I have had from [name removed] in the sales Dept. was on May 12th so now looking at contacting consumer affairs.
The boards are OK to use however I have rated them a 1 because of how consumers have been ripped off.
