HIA contracts - Why they're not worth the paper they're printed on! – I wouldn't sign another HIA contract if a gun was held to my head! This housing/building industry association has a lot of information regarding their "Code of Ethics" but they DO NOT enforce them as they say they do on their website, they don't write contracts and reneg on their "trustworthy backing" as they just give their members a template and DO NOT underwrite or even CHECK what their members write in their contracts and they don't uphold their own values! They will not help you when your contract is found to be illegally written or misinformed. They won't even take up any concerns with their members.
