HP TouchSmart 520 Series

Tech Guys Hate Them – This is a nice idea. The desk is clean and it is nice to use although the keyboard didn't last long. Once the inevitable repair work is needed (for me, about 2 years in) expect to pay big money. Tech guys hate them because access is so difficult. This is essentially a disposable item. Divide the original price by two to see if this is what you wanted to outlay on a computer annually. Neat and tidy. Will only last a couple of years.
Great machine with a lot of features for the price – I was adamant I wanted an all in one desktop PC to replace our old one because I wanted to cut down on desktop clutter and the amount of cords and cables behind the desk. I settled on this HP Touchsmart and so far its been a very good product, very well made and does everything we have asked of it, however we haven't used it for any taxing graphics or video work yet. For the price I paid, and the features and specs it has, it is a bloody good buy. The touch screen is a bit of a gimmick though, you're not going to sit at your desk and reach up and use the screen instead of the keyboard and the pre-loaded Norton software is more like nagware the way it nags you incessantly to register. Elegant design, quietness, feature set Not much, although it has a funny habit of awakening itself from sleep for no reason when I don't want it to.

Will never buy a hp again.... The hard disk crashed after 1 month... At the moment the USB hardware that controls the mouse and keyboard malfunctioned.i reformatted twice before hp agreed to send an engineer. Also my previous hp pavilion died on me after a year. Hp is a bloody ar-e pc maker.
