Terrible company. Ordered 4.7 cubic metres of concrete, they only delivered 3.3 cubic metres. Had to quickly order extra as pump guys were on-site. Admin person couldn’t advise when extra would arrive, he was asked to keep me updated, answered that we’d get a text. Didn’t receive one. receiving notification from my bank of a transaction. Hy-Tec had illegally used my card details a second time. Hy-Tec would not address the issue of the short supply, ignoring my calculation of the actual volume delivered. Three employees closed ranks in the face of the evidence.

Charges 20% extra on the day for no reason – Ordered concrete for delivery in 2 days. On the day charged 20% extra with no notice. Nothing I can do as trades already onsite. Most expensive concrete in illawarra now.

New driveway / carport exposed aggregate not as ordered – We ordered 50/50 black & white exposed aggregate having researched and viewed multiple applications of this mix. disclaimer absolves them of all responsibility i.e. no matter what they deliver you will have no recourse, even if you complain to QBCC / QCAT. The Hy-tec technician even stated in a written report that the aggregate was "not aesthetically pleasing" and the Qld Manager verbally stated "it was the worst he had ever seen". The driveway / carport aggregate looks like a cheap & nasty council public footpath application imo. What an expensive mistake (to the tune of around 18K) we made using Hy-tec to supply our aggregate!

RUDE customer service – Rude customer service by Tori, no wonder they have only 1 star reviews. Wouldnt bother to do business with this company based on their customer service. Seriously you guys need to hire a better receptionist manager other than TORI...

Awful concrete. Ruined our driveway and footpath – I sent them the exact specs and pictures of the existing aggregate concrete at our property so they could match it as close as possible. I expected there would be some difference. What was poured was completely different. It looks cheap and nasty. Their staff are rude and arrogant as well and tried to tell me to put a coating over my existing concrete to match their ugly one. It's like they put about half the amount of stone in the cement mix compared to the existing concrete we have. They took no responsibility whatsoever.

Terrible concrete with even worse customer service – Horrible service received from this company - will not be using again. The staff member was so rude, charged our card 3 times, refused to supply any details about what the charges were, refused to help at all and then hung up on me. Disgusting - I’m a builder and I will never use them again.

Not acceptable – Ordered concrete for stump holes advised them that a pumper will be on site and required to be on time as you pay by the hour. Turned up 50 minutes late then the guy did a wash of his mixer out on the bitumen road and left it there, just drove off. Can never get onto anyone have tried to contact head office to advise of the issues.

Hy-tec Pebble finish with holes – I recently had 2 slabs thrown with an exposed pebble finish which cost around 5k to do.on my arrival from work i looked at the finished job and noticed tiny pit marks all over both slabs. this finish with the millions of holes.almost like bubbles that had popped on the surface or a badly pocked marked skin .the concreter arrived and no hy-tec rep but he made a call in my presence to hy-tec.the dude at hy-tec said oh what finish was that and once it was mentioned, yes that particular finish that particular 1 is the 1 that does that somtimes and not sure why.what a load of bull as im sure if it was another pebble finish like black pebble and not white like ours he would have made the same story up for it.these guys might be big in the business and one day they will realise when times are tough and the trade slows to nothing,that they will no longer exist.shame on you hy-tec for the poor supply and poor pathetic story you tried to sell us.everytime i look out the door i see a terrible slab that you supplied the concrete for with millions of holes.we are now thinking of placing decking over it to cover your shoddy supply of materials. you call yourselves honest business people and supplier of superior goods.wake up and be honest and up front with sub standard products that you supply and find the weekest excuse for a poor finish.no compensation offered for poor supply of materials as your next excuse will be that it was the concrete guy that slogged to try make it look good with a sub standard supply of concrete.wish you all the best in the future-not.you don't have to live or look at the slabs as we do but rely on good old karma to sort companies and people like you out.remember news travels fast especially if its bad and with the aid of the net to sort companies or people out like you.what a rip off and fancy supplying a product that you know could have this poor finish,no warning prior either,what a pathetic micky mouse sort of operation is this that you have..if you have a concreting job that needs doing,ensure its not hy-tecsupplying the concrete, who assure the public quality supply of premix.

I have mixed and thrown a slabs in the past myself and only got this job done as i was time poor expecting quality.huge regrets and absolute no to hy-tec conrete supply-shame on you the dude that was on the call and just so cacalier with his answers. Im busy lodging a complaint thru the qbcc to look into these dodgy suppliers of materials.my neighbours abd friends came over and said wow what a terrible job it is and a couple it must have been hy-tec who supplied it without me saying a word. Karma hy-tec, remember the wheel turns ever so slow and it will bite you hard when you least expect it.

Totally unacceptable – I ordered black concrete for my driveway. First load was grey and the next two loads came from a different plant and where black. Hytec have not even been around to see the results.

They have admitted fault yet still refuse to come to the party.

What a poor company!!! – Well where do I start....3 different prices, two over the phone, then different again when the driver turned up and didn't honor the price what they quoted. Then I booked it in at 9.30 (Which I rang up two weeks prior), didn't turn up so I rang them and they knew nothing about it until they looked at there computers so I had to wait another 1.30hours til they turned up. All they did was dirty my driver way and gave me a headache. A JOKE!!!

Double dipping credit card payment – I ordered concrete from this company for delivery last saturday. The payment for the concrete was debited to my card at approx 9:22 am. advised them of the matter. It is now Friday 13 July and I still do not have the money refunded nor have I received an apology. Despite many phone calls and promises that someone from accounts would contact me nothing happened. I had to ring them again yesterday and threaten legal action. But still no money refunded?? I thought that credit card transactions are for one only action , not as many as the supplier wants to . Not happy at all.
