Does The Job – Had this tripod for a few years now, and it has always done its job. Its obvious that it wouldn't take the weight of some of the DSLR cameras on the market, and lets face facts now - if you can afford a DSLR why are you only paying $50 for a tripod! Match your camera.

The lock's plate is rubbish – Tripot legs is good , but the ball head lock can't hold heavy camera +70-200 , It nearly drop my gear .Then I just saw off it ball head and replace it with Manfrooto ball head (by using it srew at botom end) , it save money to buy another tripod.

No good for time exposure shoots – Got this to replace my old but still working tripod but one thing I found is the ball joint design while flexiable is hard to set up and won't lock properly, meaning it's useless for long time exposure shots as the camera keeps moving, especially with my 18-270mm lens weighing it down. Need to find the recite and return it to JB HiFi next week.

Also I have had a problem with the plate not locking back into the tripod properly at times and have nearly dropped the camera (something I… Read more

am aware of and keep an eye on). Not too light so it won't blow over, not too heavy so I can't carry it. For the price it is not a bad tripod. The legs that can be spread for low stable shots or putting one through a wire fence to get the camera closer and stable. Sometimes plate does not lock easily back into the tripod head.

Broken - straight out of the box – I purchased this tripod from JB Hi Fi on special for $64 as it was recommended by one of their staff since it was on special (usually over $70). The tripod was never used as it was broken straight out of the box, (the blue locks on the leg weren't locking so its wasn't stable.) I also didn't feel it was very sturdy. You can do better than this for the price. I will be returning it. not sturdy, was broken so never got a chance to use it
