circuit breaker popping. Observation recent: Does not apply to older versions Units will last for about 7 years.: Almost all will fail with rust of chamber base plate. Motors never fail . PROBABLY MY ONE GRIPE INSINKERATOR WILL NOT SUPPLY SPARE PARTS>. If the chamber base plate fails you chuck away the whole unit. (Very wasteful) Finally if the chamber base plate was made of stainless steel the unit would have almost unlimited life. ( (Although you would not sell many) Greg

Works well, but go to Insinkerator direct if you have problems – My first model lasted 33 years. However, I have had to replace two Insinkerators since 2015 because both fused my house power after 6 and 8 years respectively. Their authorised repairers don't repair them now, just tell you to replace them (at your own cost). No price reduction though and no replacement or refund offered by the retailer I bought… Read more

Don't get highjacked by the repairman into replacing your faulty machine on the spot - go direct to Insinkerator. Top service.

Great product and the customer Service is second to none – We have had our unit just over 2 years, and we love it. Recently it developed a fault, a small leak. We called Insinkerator last week to make a warranty claim against the garbage disposal. They sent someone out today, who replaced it with a brand new unit (newer model) and a new 4 year warranty. You can't argue with that customer service. Very impressed.

So Reliable You forget It's There – Our insinkerator has worked almost with no issues since new nine years ago. We have had some small problems with the air switch that we fixed by just turning it on then using the wall power. I was prompted to write this after realising of all our kitchen appliances it was so reliable that you don't even think about it. Looking at the unit under the kitchen sink it still looks good.
