a piece of hard waste sitting in my lounge room. The internals are very cheaply made with plastic in places that should be metal. The covers are replaceable because they are made of the cheapest PU leather it won't last more than 3 years. It is tempting to buy a massage chair at this price point but it is a negative economy. You are better off avoiding Chinese made and paying a bit extra for a Japanese made product. Avoid any iRESt products their customer service is like most chinese companies, uncaring and expensive.

tell me the screen isn't covered and demanded $450 for a replacement. It is ridiculous to be expected to pay hundreds of dollars to fix a premium product that is only a couple of years old. Under Australian Consumer Law, a product of this value must be durable and of acceptable quality. iRest is failing on both counts. I am still paying for a chair I cannot use. I will be escalating this to NSW Fair Trading and disputing the remaining payments with my finance provider. Buyers beware: their "warranty" doesn't cover the most important part of the chair.

quoted me an outrageously expensive repair fee – basically, if I added a little more money, I could buy an entirely new massage chair from another brand. Even more absurd, their advice was to just keep using it in this broken state until it completely dies, and then “repair everything at once.”
So let me get this straight – does iRest intentionally design their products to have a short lifespan so they can profit from astronomical repair costs later on? Is this your business model? Because it sure feels like it.
