No point – I can't see any point in getting one of these. I bought one and tried it out. I had it back to she shop in under an hour. From my very short experience it was no louder than speaker phone on my phone. I might as well just put my phone in a cradle and use google to do everything that the Jabra Freeway does.

Excellent product – I've had the freeway for a few months now...I drive a truck and every now and then have issues regarding hearing...however I've never had an issue when driving a petrol motor. I've asked people about sound clarity when speaking to them and almost every time people didn't think I was on a speaker phone. I believe it's one of the best out there.
Dudd product – This product relies on voice recognition to work and the voice recognition program is a dudd. It not only does not recognise your voice it will call people it thinks you want called regardless and you cannot cancel the call this circumstance in your car driving along is dangerous and the product should be updated with adequate voice recognition programmes.
Expensive and Annoying – I’ve owned the Jabra Freeway over a year now and: 1. People I’ve called often state they can’t hear me properly even though the devise is attached to my sun visor, less than 200mm from my mouth. 2. When the battery is low the voiceover states this every 5 minutes. 3. When connecting to the radio frequency by pressing FM the voiceover tells you… Read more
the station every time.... why? 4. When no music is playing when connected to the radio frequency it turns off the radio connection. The actual voiceover is annoying and long winded
Jabra Hands Free or Maybe NOT! – I was going to purchase a Jabra Freeway. However, all the advertising advised you can make and received calls hands free which is patiently not true. Even the Jabra video showing how to use the phone option shows the lady looking up to press the button allowing her to with a voice prompt, call her mother. It is noted that a one second inaction… Read more
when driving, which is about how long it takes to look up to visually to locate the prompt button, will increase the likelihood of an accident by up to 12% Am I missing something here? Is there a way of accurately doing a call out hands free? If not the ACCC should intervene.
Flawed product. Never purchase Jabra again – Purchased this product and after 6 months whenever I was on a call the other person would find me garbled or crackly. Unreliable connectivity to my phone, and connects when not in the car, even though it specifically states that it turns off when nobody is in the car. This is also after a previous Jabra product started faulting at a similar time frame. Never will I buy Jabra again.
Easy to set up, works great – One of the best I've used for bluetooth handsfree calling. The ease of setting up and connecting to the phone to the simplicity of setting it to an FM station to stream music from the phone makes it such an easy device to operate. The caller on the other end is quite clear and speech from the users end comes through just as clear. The… Read more
only gripe is when streaming to an FM station the quality of the music is not 100%. The stereo needs to be turned up louder than normal even with phone volume set to max and there is occasionally a bit of background white noise picked up. Other than that it is pretty reasonable overall.
Its never going to be as good as a wired/integrated kit but for the older vehicle I have this in it works great and is a lot better than a lot of the competition ive seen over the years.
It is a little more expensive but from what ive experienced so far it is worth the extra dollars.
Dropping in and out – I bought this from office works for my iPhone 6. Callers kept saying I’m dropping in and out of reception and we both had to hang up. I paid $147 for this !!! And battery life would be cut short if it’s left in the car during hot summer days ( from the manual)
Good Customer Service – I have had my Jabra Freeway wireless in-car speakerphone for almost 12 months now. The unit's sound quality became distorted and often my caller had a lot of difficulty hearing me. I called Customer Service, and after performing some brief tests, I was directed to the selling store (Harvey Norman) who I was told would exchange the unit NO… Read more
QUESTIONS ASKED - just needed to see my receipt of purchase. This was great as I was expecting that the unit would have to be examined at a service centre, Most impressed.
Excellent product – With the new laws in Iowa regarding texting and talking I find this little Jabra Freeway excellent works perfect took a little time to figure out how to make outgoing calls on it downloaded the book but I had to figure it out on my own has perfect sound perfect for voice and media Has FM to connect through car radio speakers and that aso sounds excellent I can't give it any higher rating
device is no longer reliable – the device will make a noise during use, then switch itself off, then announce "power on " and "connected" and resume the call as if nothing has happened. It can do this several times during the one call and at other times it will operate flawlessly!!
Bluetooth hands free for mobile – This hands free Bluetooth was probably designed for in-car use. However, I bought the unit to use in-home as a hands free option when using a mobile phone. For incoming calls you can use a voice command or touch a button to accept the call. It is a superior option to using hands free on the mobile. Clear reception for both parties. I tried it in… Read more
the car and reception also very clear.
Have only had it for a couple of months but no problems so far.
Happy to recommend.
I like it – Works well with my iPhone, I can use the voice control i.e... phone commands call Mum, sometimes that works but more often than not it will ask what you want again, the most promising way is to press the little telephone handle button for 2 seconds and Siri will answer from the iPhone through the freeway, and you can just say Siri call Mum and… Read more
she will ask mobile or home no, then phone the one you say, The answer call is easier, the phone rings and the voice says call from .... you just have to say answer or deny, it takes another 5 seconds for the call to go though,
You can play music, by tapping the voice button and saying play, this sometimes doesn't work first time as the freeway seems to have trouble deciphering the commands, the music is ok, played from the iPhone and you can ask it to skip to the next track, or stop the music, the sound is adequate not loud but it's close to your head on the sun visor,
the freeway automatically connects to the iPhone just after you enter the car, it's really quite liberating but may be quite frustrating without Siri,
Works but forget the voice recognition – Sound quality seems pretty good, but it cant recognise my Australian accent. Used phone support and they basically said it was all my fault. The Jabra assist app on android doesn't do much and didn't even show the battery level. Apparently that was my fault too.
Not fit for purpose – The Jabra Freeway obviously has serious faults as experienced by many other unlucky people that invested in this junk. This hands free device is supposed to be the top of the range and its primary role is seriously flawed. The other party/caller always explains that my voice is garbled and breaking up. My phone works perfectly with other hands… Read more
free devices and a built in system in our other car. So its definitely not the phone. Other features are as useless as the transmission.
Janra should do the right thing and recall these units or offer a refund.
Do yourself a favour and stay away from Jabra.
Useless – Can only agree with the Anthony, exactly the same problems. I can hear incoming calls as clear as a bell however the person on the other end says sound is garbled and dropping out. Whilst you can forget trying to make an outgoing call unless you can speak with a specific American accent.
Useless – The biggest issue is that people cannot hear me clearly enough to have a conversation, I am continually told that I am cutting in and out. I can hear callers crystal clear. Additional issues are that it continually drops itsbluetooth pair, the voice recognition typically cannot understand me and tries to pair a new phone instead of whatever I ask.… Read more
Lastly, it takes so long to announce an incoming call that callers hang up if I don't manually answer the phone... Which deactivates the hands free! Completely unsuitable for safe hands free driving.
Great speakerphone with pathetic FM music mode – Auto on/off and connect work flawlessly and the call clarity and mic are great. A very strong speakerphone. However - the FM transmitter is so weak it gets drowned by the most distant and faint signals! It's so weak my auto-scan can't find it and I have to manually set. I will be returning it today for a refund, not a replacement. This seems to be a design flaw, not a fault.
Sounds OK. Auto-on. Poor FM mode – One of the few visor blue-tooth units that auto-connects every time. In this case it has a movement sensor to wake itself up and connect (the main reason I bought this model). Curiously, usually it says 'connected' twice; still not sure why. The speaker sounds good. The Freeway connects as a media device, so all sound output now goes through… Read more
this speaker, including music and GPS.
There is an FM mode which for my car, only works with the visor down. I think it's because like most cars now, mine has its aerial on the back of the roof. The transmitter is necessarily weak, and probably pointed in the wrong direction if the visor is up. Even down, FM reception is good enough for voice podcasts, but not music.
Very disappointed with this product – I bought this with high expectations when my BlueAnt Supertooth started going wrong. The BlueAnt was a few years old so I assumed that this would be an improvement, given the improvement in technology over these years. The main reason I bought it was for its ability to enable my wife to talk on the phone hands free, however it is next to… Read more
impossible to understand her when she talks as the voice cuts out more than you can hear it.
The other issue is when using it to listen to music/podcasts etc through the car's FM radio - and this is that it only works when the sunvisor is down - i.e. when the unit is vertical. Otherwise it again keeps cutting out.
I wrote to Jabra to look for advice on fixing this (it is still in warranty so am hoping for it to be fixed free of charge) and after a couple of weeks I got a response that effectively just tells me to try turning it off and back on again.
Needless to say I will follow this up but if I wasn't unhappy enough with the product in the first place, the slow and unhelpful response exacerbated things. Sad to say that I wouldn't buy this brand again.
