Jabra Supreme – The Jabra's ability to connect to two phones I find very useful, one is for work the other home. My HTC 500 connects automatically when both are switched on however the older Samsung requires the Bluetooth connection to be made manually, which is a little bit annoying. voice control to either call back or redial is a bit hit and miss, but generally works well when you speak clearly.

speaker sound is outstanding, the clarity excellent. Overall a joy to use with an added bonus of asking the remaining battery life really handy. a very good product, if you need one of these Bluetooth headsets, it should be considered for comfort alone which is by far the best I have seen.

A very good headset – I'd been using a BlueAnt T1 headset but had trouble with it staying in place - apparently I have small ear cavities and the unit, like others I’ve tried, constantly worked its way out of my ear. I stuck with it though because it's rugged and has very good sound quality, but a trip through the washing machine ended its career (it still worked after drying out but developed an annoying habit of un-pairing & re-pairing every few minutes).

While looking to replace it I saw the Jabra Supreme on display and was attracted to the mike boom, as I have never felt happy with tiny units that have the mike so far away from my mouth, even though they seem to work fine.

I have always been very annoyed with having anything inserted into my ear no matter how soft, so I was pleased to find that the Supreme fits against the ear, not into it. My initial concern that it might not remain sitting against the ear has been largely unfounded.

The unit comes with two swappable ear cushions, one a simple flat cushion that presses softly against the ear and a similar one with two small projecting "horns" that help to hold the unit in place - these horns grip the outer ear and do not intrude into the actual ear cavity.

I tried the simple cushion first and found it was reasonably secure, but the horned pad holds a little better without increasing the annoyance factor. Still, I wouldn't like to run fast with this unit on my ear - not that my 63-year old body does much running of course.

Swapping the cushions was a bit fiddly but the official website has an explanatory video.

Speaker quality is very good indeed, possibly due to its large diameter as it doesn't need to go into the ear cavity, it’s more like a “proper” (albeit mono) earphone than an ear bud.

I have found the unit very good while travelling in a car and so far no one has complained about sound quality at their end, so the noise cancelling obviously works OK.

I don't use voice control so unfortunately cannot tell you how well that works. I’m not the clearest of speakers you see.

I do like the way it switches off/on by simply folding/opening the mike boom, however.

And I also like the big, easy-to-locate answer/end button on the side of the unit.

This unit should be suitable for someone with smaller than average ear cavities, like me. Comfortable, good quality sound, has mike boom, on/off via via folding boom.
