Poor Customer Service – I purchased Boot Hooks and a Timber Boot Remover, after two weeks of waiting, I emailed them, only to receive another invoice for postage. Postage was EXTREMELY expensive ($15 for a $30 purchase), they don't offer any sort of postage estimates at the time of purchase, so be prepared for a shock on postage payment. Also EXTREMELY poor after sales customer service. Don't deal with this company unless you're willing to get ripped off.

Excellent saddle comfort – It is always difficult for beginners to feel confident purchasing a saddle especially from interstate. Trevor James was very helpful and understanding through the process and backed up his product with the knowledge of decades making saddles. The James site has a detailed how to measure for saddle and I would recommend that you follow this and take a photo of the horse and give height. Mention your own dimension and you limit the chance of disappointment. The saddles are very comfortable to ride in and my horse that had kissing spine surgery is not showing any signs of discomfort. I was sceptical about the Flexi tree but it does seem to have benefits for horse and rider. James saddlery are obviously very busy and it can be difficult to get the time to speak with Trevor but he does return your call when you leave a message. Postage was prompt ...... They are experienced in their field and know their stuff

great product, very poor customer service – I love my James Saddlery Bridle, the leather is beautiful! However postage was EXTREMELY expensive ($30 for a $99 bridle), they dont offer any sort of postage estimates so prepare for a shock on postage payment. Also EXTREMELY poor after sales customer service. They do not reply to emails, I have spent 2 weeks trying to request a small replacement part and still have not been contacted in return. The only contact I recieved was a phone call after my initial purchase asking for payment, although I had actually made my payment at the time of placing my order. So while I love my bridle they are a schocking company to deal with.

Poor performance – I was pretty disappointed at the ENORMOUS price of postage for a lead rope - postage was more than the price of the rope in fact - I can hardly blame James Saddlery for that, however, as many other websites have done, it would be a good idea for James Saddlery to add a section to their website where postage can be estimated. This would help prevent future heart attacks from unsuspecting buyers.

The poor performance rating that I'm giving to James Saddlery isn't for the cost of the postage, though - it's for the pathetic time frame in sending the item. Ordered on the 9th, arrived on the 24th. Very bad service.

By comparison, I ordered product from another supplier - it arrived 2 days later. Pick up your game James Saddlery - if you can't compete on service, you'll end up competing on price, and you'll lose that battle.

Over all happy – I'm over all happy with purchasing online with James saddlery. Got my order in a good time frame. Only thing I would have liked would be a bit more communication through email. Eg saying over has gone through and when it had been posted.
