Disappointed – It's heavy, and I find the crushers work well, with limited capacity. A bit tricky to clean. First one broke, the slicer mechanisms snapped. I returned it and got a replacement. Now the plastic compartment in the slicer section keeps coming loose. An expensive and not great product. Surprised that Jamie Oliver is happy to put his name to it.

Worse kitchen gadget I own – I was stupidly attracted by the producer, being Jamie Oliver and expected a reliable crusher. It’s a lovely colour but that’s the extent of it. It’s useless. Most of the garlic gets stuck and stays in the cavity rather than extruding out. Any minuscule amount that manages to escape sticks to the holes, only to be forced off with a pointed knife. Don’t waste your money.

Jamie Oliver Garlic Press - What a piece of junk! – Purchased as I thought Jamie Oliver would endorse good gear - WRONG! As others have written, this gadget is awful. Only enough leverage to press one large clove then you spend the next ten minutes trying to clean it. The crushed garlic skin sticks to the press like glue. Both Woolworths and Jamie Oliver should be ashamed to sell such a badly… Read more

engineered product. UPDATE - if you’ve been unlucky enough to buy one of these, I’ve done a simple mod to improve the cleaning. Just sand off the little knobby protrusions on the compression arm. See photo.

Fit for the rubbish bin – Terrible piece of kit. Impossible to clean. Avoid at all costs. Also it was quite pricey from Woolworths if I recall correctly. Stick to the good old Oxo good grips version. - mine died and a I couldn’t replace during COVID but will find it and be happy again!

Don't wasste your money – Very very difficult to clean. Doesn't want to crush more than 1 clove at a time. The only positive is that the compartment was large enough to fit 1-3 cloves, BUT DIDN'T crush them.

Rip off – I wouldn't even spend 5$ on this let alone the 15$ i actually paid at woolworths... very difficult to mince the garlic and at the end of it you get a sad half squashed half minced thing... i may as well just go to town on it with the back edge of a knife. would atleast get consistency that way!

Rip off - don’t buy – It is made from cheap plastic that bends when you crush 2 peeled segments. For $15 I would expect a lot more in a product - shame on Jamie Oliver and Woolworths for this exorbitant price point. The press is very difficult to clean as the grooves are extremely close together, after each use no matter how much scrubbing there are still remnants of… Read more

garlic left on the crusher. My stainless steel press broke and during the height of COVID in regional WA I was left with no other choice. Please if you can shop around and buy something a lot less frustrating.

Useless piece of junk – We bought this from Safeway/Woolworths in Melbourne and I'm sure Jamie Oliver would not want his name associated with this garlic crusher that doesn't crush garlic. It is NOT the type on his website that you get in the UK. It is four times as expensive as the generic garlic crushers there. Ripped off massively.

Better than I thought – I read some reviews on here that were negative so I was a little apprehensive when purchasing the Jamie Oliver garlic slice and press.... I’m not sure what all the fuss is about because I think it works just fine and it’s definitely not hard to clean the blades! It’s not hard to press the handles and feels nice and durable. I’m really happy I bought this item because it does exactly what it says and I got it on sale which is a bonus.

Doesn't press the garlic through – Garlic just gets squashed in the mesh and you have to scrape out. Then try and dislodge the rest of the garlic. After two attempts of trying to crush garlic with no success; went back to using the back of a knife, so much easier and no waste. Poor quality product. NOT cheap

Very Disappointed – I enjoy cooking and love garlic but hate the peeling and crushing and cleaning involved. I purchased the Jamie Oliver Garlic Press thinking that he would have not put his name to an inferior product. I was wrong. They are of poor quality and after little use the stainless steel screen from which the garlic crushed squeezes bent out of shape. I… Read more

found the onerous to clean and generally was very disappointed overall. I have found the perfect crush...the Bru Joy.

Poor design and disappointing – I thought Jamie's garlic press would be a fantastic design, but it's not at all. The outside of the press has an indentation which means you have to scrape all the bits of garlic with a knife. It also gets most of it stuck in the pocket. The first time I used it garlic jumped out everywhere. It's easier and faster to chop garlic than use this.

Love it – I love this slice n press. It feels nice and solid in the hand, I feel like it will last for a long time. My previous two presses, have snapped at the hinge. One was a Curtis Stone and one was something I picked up from Myer. It crushes the garlic beautifully, no need to peel, just chop off the hard end bit. Also the skins seem to mostly come out… Read more

when you open the press due to the little spiky bits that they get stuck to. I thought I would not like that there is no cleaner thing with it but it doesn't take any longer to clean that any other press I have had.
