service I might add. It performs extremely well, very responsive foot controller & a beautiful stitch. It's easy to operate for older people who are having trouble with their eyesight, the direct stitch selector is a no brainer. So happy with this purchase.

It’s ok – About 6 months into owning this machine it would constantly sound an error alarm. It ended up being due to a faulty pedal that according to the rep is a very common problem. my excel that I own, but I guess that’s because it’s a computerised machine and the other one is mechanical. I just use a hump jumper when I’m having difficulties. There is definitely a few more interesting sounds that it makes compared to when I first purchased it and I do worry about the longevity of this machine not only the motor but also the plastic casing as I think there is already stress fractures above knotting/ needle / speed control buttons. I guess time will tell.

Great machine – This is my third Janome machine. Pros: Great demo, smooth & easy to use. Also has easy to follow DVD. Good price. Cons: Wish they had kept screw in quilting guide.
