Good – Thank you Raymond, I completed the Updated Driver firmware upgrade last night. It appears to have made a considerable improvement in the speed and response of the SSF-M9 MP3 Player. The upgrade was straight forward enough, even though the kids had already tried it, and had not possitioned the new driver in the correct layer of the players file… Read more

directory, and that could have also given it grief. I reread a number of the review postings in www.productreveiw.com.au and it is quite possible a number of those postings may not entirely understand, that the product is a MICRO DRIVE, and not flash memory or similar. The comment posted about using the functionality a little slower, to avoid freezing is a valid comment, and is actually no different to what PC desktops experience, on screen refreshs particlualy involving complex applications, over networks. Thanks Again, my eldest son is very happy with his JNC SSF-M9 MP3 Player.

Nice Design, Good Display, although light drops out very early, like the functionality Heard a few problems about freezing, and earphone quality, and we did have a coupkle of teething problems, which with the help of JNC, we seemed to have sorted out, refer below which is a copy of my e-mail transcript, with JNC, and like all e-mail needs to be read from the bottom up.

Excellent – Overall the best mp3 player I have ever owned to date. the quality and the battery life is what makes it unique from the rest. Will buy again from this brand as it is very trustworthy and cheap. The MP3 player is very versatile and has a large storage capcity of 20gb. it can store thousands of songs and has excellent sound quality and bass sound.… Read more ·  1

Excellent – Have had this for 2 years ever since my husband bought it for me,use it as portable MP3 and hard drive as simple drag and drop on Win XP and later and no software required. Long lasting battery life and has been totally reliable for me with easy use and great sound quality through headphones. Was over $100 cheaper than similar capacity from the… Read more

big brands yet works just as well so it was money well saved. large storage capacity (20GB), cheaper than all other brands/makes with 20GB capacity for a Mp3 Player not as fancy looking as the other brands.

Bad – Have only had a few days so perhaps things may work out with more fiddling I thoug I was getting a good deal but at the moment it looks like a an expensive walkman. I will give this a few more days but I starting to think that spending more money may have been the way to go. Plus with accessories could not find info on car kits. If any one can… Read more

post some useful tips re: the playlists I'd appreciate it Looks sturdy, thought it was quite goodlooking. Downloaded all my music in a matter of minutes several thousand songs. The FM radio and recorder works well Having to manually load it was annoying. Did not find the instruction manual particulaly help ful. Can't figure out how to create playlists despite following the instructions. Navigation does not always go where I want it. and the songs seem to be stuck on shuffle. Song have downloaded in alphabetical order rather than artist or playlist order from my media player. Also none of the media players on my computer recognise the device. Also when I disconnect from the computer it turns itself off, needing to be turned on again and reload which takes a good 5 minutes.

OK – I'm just writing to let people know how to add songs to the playlist. Simply find a song to add to the playlist then press the PLAY button and hold it till you get a tick beside the song. To delete a single song from the playlist, holf the PLAY button until the tick disappears. You can actually create a playlist from PC. Simply download the… Read more

playlist, open in in word or notepad and see how the format layout. As as required.

OK – Shame that things haven't turned out. The unit can be treated just like a hard drive. Put your mp3's and wma files in folders in the root directory. Or perhaps use the synchronisation tools in Windows Media Player, iTunes or similar. Email me at address in post below yours if it's any help to you. Regards, Jeff Kogler

Good – Overall it is a very good product for your money. Only costed $260, when you compare an iPod 20GB which is around $400. First of all the JNC SSF-M9 is probably the cheapest 20GB MP3 Player on the market right now. The design of the actual player is very good, which is cased with a aluminium covering ( feels solid). Good Features: Line in… Read more

Recording

Built in radio

Doesn't need any driver to tranfer music

Can be used to store files

Pity good battery life -For me it was a little bit too big to carry around

-Bad design with headphones (falls out, and the cord is way too short).

Terrible – When I heard about this item, I was going to get an ipod, but then I thought that this would be a better option because of all of its features. However, I was severely disappointed with it, so I returned it three times and got a new one each time, and I still had the same problems. In the end I got an ipod for the same price, and I am very happy… Read more

with it! It has radio, voice recording etc; good price for all the features. Shuffle doesn't work (JNC said that most people don't normally want to use the shuffle mode!), it keeps freezing, you can only have one playlist with a limited number of songs, it keeps freezing, doesn't look as cool as the ipod.
