Avoid it and try something else
I have tried different type of spirit including RUM and Vodka. I thought this Whisky should be better (the price per Litre is higher) but it's not the case. Whenever I drank I got an headache and hangover.
If you think Johnnie Walker is a trustful brand, think again. It's RED grade and it's simply Rubbish.
Avoid it, instead try Absolut, I love the smell and taste of the purity of the Vodka.
Purchased in May 2019 at Liqourland for $38.00.
I think it was about seven years ago, the last time I drank this stuff. My fishing mate and I were taking a trip to the foot of Yorke Peninsular. I normally drink any of three "The Glenlivet" and had offered to bring a flask, but as I normally did this, my mate offered instead, to bring the whiskey, but he didn't say which one. That night around a camp fire he brought out a bottle with about 250ml of Johnny Red. Having nothing else I gritted my teeth and drank about 100ml, it was the worst drink I've ever had. Writing about it I can vaguely exp...erience the unpleasant burning sensation. In the end I flooded it with lemonade and finished it off. I apologized to my mate for ruining the lemonade. Every time since I've ensured that I take some of The Glenlivet French Oak Reserve, so as not to be caught out again.
This is how I image lighter fluid may taste. Rough as guts, harsh on the palate and will give you the worst hangover EVER. Really bad. Worse than worse. Horrid. Even one star is too much.
The most revolting whisky I have had the misfortune of drinking. If you took your favourite whisky , vodka , gin , and filtered it through cigarette butts and a kilo of tobacco, you would then have the flavour of this vile brew. Even coke would not remove the toxic taste.
It cleans glass.
Toxic, Vile ,repugnant.
