Jolt was Ok-ish for the past 5 years..... But now with so many EVs, they are terrible. There's one Uber which parks and plugs in probably after their shift. From about 6am to 2pm, it's there all the time. I am all for people charging their cars and waiting patiently but not when it's been occupied by the same car everyday for 6-8 hour. I called… Read more

Jolt and emailed them to see if they can resolve.... But nope, nothing has been done for the last 3 weeks. They said, that the best they can do is charge them idle fee, or passed the responsibility on telling me to call my local council to resolve. But, are you charging idle fees JOLT? Anyway I've been a paying subscription member for the last 5 years but now it's useless.

Would give less than one star if I could. The chargers never work and the app will often go offline for hours per day. To make matters worse, Jolt are constantly increasing prices to the point where it is now the most expensive charging rate in Australia, despite being one of the slowest at 22kw. The icing on the cake is their customer service, whom if you eventually get through to, will be borderline abusive to you. Time for Jolt to go.

I’d rate Jolt lower than one if possible. Worst customer service ever and threatening to block the account when I can’t even log in because the app is not working properly. A passcode gets texted and the login goes no where. Jolt should invest some money in upgrading and fixing bugs in their app as well as the charging network. Use Ampol it’s way better and they have an app that works

Absolute rubbish. Today I've been to the 4th jolt charging station with no success. 4/4 are out of order. Completely useless. In Adelaide

Network in Adelaide in dire need of maintenance. Today was the worst. 6 stations in a row not working, the app said they were, but that says a bit about the app i think. I did finally get one to work and got a whole 1 kwh charging. Then the new charge just to remind me what i good deal i was getting. Took a half hour to get enough to make it to another brand charger. No..way

Very rarely in this day and age, are things that seem too good to be true, are, actually real...!! JOLT, the EV charging stations one may find around certain Metro areas of Sydney. Free to join, and open an account (credit card required), and download their App and away you go. JOLT affords every member a free 7kw a day.....that's around 45klm of… Read more

free driving for my Tesla. Two charge ports are available, the older Chadmo, and the unviversal CSS2. Charge rates are only around the 22kw/h meaning 15min will take you to your free 7 kw limit, if however, you charge more, the very reasonable charges are only 50c/kw...still cheaper than most of the competition in my area of Lower North Shore/Northern Beaches. On the rare occasion, the charge session fails due to "a comms" error, but this is easily rectified by disconnecting, waiting 15 seconds, and starting again. The JOLT App shows where they are located, and if they are available (green = available), there's even a countdown ro depict when the current user may be completed, though this is somewhat hit and miss as some customers may want to charge fully to 100%, which takes way longer...with the App showing an estimated completion of 1 minute...... for 10 minutes! There's even a paid membership plan, for those who charge frequently, for example if you are an UBER driver or courier. In summary, what's not to like? Bravo JOLT, I wish you every success...they deserve it!

In September 2025 Jolt will reduce the value of their EV charging network with reduced kWh and sneaky fees. Easy to do when you have market dominance Jolt previously raised access charges for the Plus Flex plan from $10.99 to $14.99. A 36% increase in fees. Now the Plus Flex plan will be reduced from 10kWh included charge to 7kWh, a 30% reduction… Read more

in included charging capacity for the same price.

How are these changes good value for customers, which is what they are saying they are?

Also, Jolt have sneaked in a 'service connection fee' of $1.61 to the 'Jolt free' plan for each charge. Thereby bringing the 'Jolt free' access rate to over the Plus Flex monthly rate after 9 'free' charges.

Jolt Free plan is therefore NOT 'free'. Wonder how the ACCC would respond to this tricky tactic?

The Northern Beaches provides their land to Jolt to provide an affordable EV charging network. Not for Jolt to reduce value and make EVs more expensive to run.

Charger never works – Charger never works. Always having trouble starting up. If you call the customer support they will restart the charger then it’ll come up with out of service. Then they will say find another charger.
