Must-Have Accessory for Better Coverage – The eco!Booster 130 is a great addition to the Karcher lineup and filled a much-needed gap in the accessories included with the power washer. Its wide jet spray is perfect for larger surface areas, making jobs like patio cleaning or rinsing vehicles faster and more efficient. It’s straightforward to attach and use, and the spray pattern offers… Read more ·  1

excellent coverage without compromising water pressure.

While I wish it had been included with the Karcher 4 Compact, rather than as a separate accessory, it’s definitely worth picking up if you find the standard nozzles too limiting for broader tasks.

Rating: 5/5

Highly recommended for anyone needing better spray coverage.

Note: The Karcher 4 Compact and eco!Booster 130 were loaned to me by ProductReview for testing and review purposes.

Over priced? lacks rotation – I was given a Karcher K4 pressure cleaner and this eco!Booster 130 lance for free in exchange for writing two reviews. I did not choose to buy these items. $100 retail seems over-priced considering it cannot be rotated to get a vertical jet and it does not have variable power. Wider jet does mean the job gets done quicker than using the Vario… Read more

lance.

Pros: I did a lot of swapping back and forth between the eco!Booster and the standard Vario lance for comparison. The cleaning power is the same as the Vario lance, so it can only remove the same depth of dirt. But the advantage is the cleaning area is twice the size, so job gets done quicker. Lance is longer than standard lances, see photo.

Cons: The lance cannot be rotated in relation to the handle, so for water jet to be vertical you need to hold the handle GANSTER style. Other brands like Gerni have rotatable handle/lance which is more versatile. It does not have variable power, so if you want to quickly wash your feet off you need to swap to the Vario lance.

An Eco-Friendly Solution for Delicate Cleaning Tasks – The eco!Booster 130 is a smart and eco-conscious accessory for the K 4 Compact, designed to clean delicate surfaces with ease and efficiency. Over the past month, I used it for several tasks, including cleaning my car’s windshield, wheels, and an aircraft’s plexiglass windows and windshield. The results left me impressed with its precision and… Read more ·  1

care for delicate materials. The eco!Booster 130 features a wide jet that covers more surface area with each sweep. Its lower pressure makes it safer for delicate surfaces like painted wood, vehicle windshields, or aircraft plexiglass, which might be prone to damage with more powerful jets. For example, while cleaning the aircraft, I felt confident using the eco!Booster on the thin plexiglass windows, knowing it wouldn’t cause scratches or damage. It performed admirably, leaving the surfaces clear and spotless. However, this lower pressure comes at a slight cost. When I tested it on tougher jobs, such as cleaning brake dust off my car’s wheels, it required me to get very close to the surface to achieve similar results to the Vario Power lance. On lightly soiled areas like the windshield, there was no noticeable difference in performance between the eco!Booster and the regular lance. But for tougher grime, the regular lance or Dirtblaster is more effective. In terms of usability, the eco!Booster is a breeze to attach. It uses the same bayonet mount as the other lances, making it easy to swap out tools in seconds. The wide jet design also reduces water and energy usage, aligning with its eco-friendly branding. This makes it a practical choice for those wanting to clean efficiently while minimizing resource consumption. Overall, the eco!Booster 130 is a great addition to the K 4 Compact for cleaning sensitive surfaces. While it’s not a replacement for high-pressure lances in tackling heavy grime, it excels in situations where gentler cleaning is required. I highly recommend it for anyone working with fragile or delicate materials, such as painted surfaces, wooden furniture, or thin glass panels.

5/5***** – Excellent for Large, flat surfaces and more delicate jobs – As part of productreview.com.au’s Ambassador program, I had the chance to put Kärcher’s eco!Booster 130 attachment to the test along with the K4 Compact Pressure Washer (reviewed separately). Designed to improve efficiency on larger flat surfaces, the eco!Booster 130 proved to be a fantastic tool for outdoor cleaning, particularly when tackling… Read more ·  1

paved areas like my in-laws’ backyard. Despite the inevitable mess in the process, the results were well worth it and the sandstone-like pavers emerged refreshed after just a single pass with the jet.

The eco!Booster 130 boasts a wider, fan-shaped spray pattern that covers larger areas with less effort, making it a time-saver for anyone with large surfaces to maintain. Using it to clean the pavers was immensely satisfying, watching wide ribbons of grime transform into clean, bright stone with just one pass of the eco!Booster’s jet is undeniably rewarding. Kärcher claims that the eco!Booster 130 achieves up to 50% greater cleaning efficiency than a standard nozzle, saving on water, time, and energy, and based on our experience, I’m inclined to agree. The attachment handled the dirt and algae stains quickly, reducing the need for repeated "visits" and significantly cutting down the overall time spent on the job.

Logic dictates that a wider jet with the same amount of input pressure results in a lower output pressure, i.e. fewer litres of water per minute per square centimetre of "targetted" surface area. However, even at that reduced water pressure the jet still has plenty of oompf to quickly deal with common cleaning tasks. This also means that this attachment is suitable for use on more delicate objects that should generally be avoided such as painted surfaces.

One minor caveat to consider: the eco!Booster 130’s wide spray can cause noticeable splashback when it hits edges or uneven surfaces like paver joints. As soon as the stream met the edge of a paver, dirty water had a tendency to spray outward, which can be a bit messy. For us, this wasn’t a deal-breaker, as we simply hosed down the surrounding area afterwards and accepted that we’d get a bit dirty in the process. However, if you’re looking to contain the spray or avoid water splashing on adjacent areas, consider Kärcher’s T7 Plus T-Racer Surface Cleaner or a splash guard attachment as alternatives.

We also tried using the eco!Booster 130 on some long-standing marks left by an old doormat whose rubber backing had deteriorated over the years. Unfortunately, neither the eco!Booster and not even the raw power of Kärcher's Dirt Blaster nozzle could lift these deep-set stains, proving that pressure washers, while incredibly effective, aren’t miracle workers. I found this an excellent reminder of the general rule I mentioned in my K4 review: if a stain can be removed by hand with only water, possibly some detergent and a bit of elbow grease and scrubbing, a pressure washer can very likely handle it as well. For more embedded stains that have developed over years or involve chemical reactions, however, you may still need to look into alternative cleaning methods and suitable solvents.

The attachment arrives in two parts that effortlessly assemble with a clearly audible click and can be detached just as easily. While this means you can easily store the unit in its original box between jobs, I found there is just enough space in the K4 Compact's tool holders to fit the eco!Booster 130 side by side with the relatively skinny Dirt Blaster attachment, keeping all three tools (the third being a Vario Power Spray lance that's a little chunkier and needs its own slot on the K4) on the machine.

All in all, the Kärcher eco!Booster 130 attachment is an impressive addition for anyone needing to tackle extensive cleaning tasks. It offers a potent combination of just the right amount of power for most everyday jobs and time-saving efficiency, achieving remarkable results across large areas with minimal effort. While a bit of overspray is to be expected, the final outcome more than compensates. For those who want to breeze through outdoor cleaning or jobs involving larger surfaces with satisfaction, this attachment is a worthwhile investment.

Powerful Cleaning with a Green Touch – I recently used the Kärcher eco!Booster 130, and overall, it was a solid performer with a few minor caveats. Versatile Applications: The unit worked great… Read more ·  1

on various surfaces—outdoor tiles, driveway, and even my car. Its pressure settings are adjustable, which made it adaptable for delicate and tough cleaning tasks. Ease of Use: Lightweight and compact design makes it easy to maneuver. The setup was straightforward, and the instruction manual was clear. Durability: The build feels robust and of high quality. It seems like a machine that will last for years if properly maintained.

Cons: Noise Level: It's a bit louder than I expected, especially at higher pressure settings. Ear protection might be a good idea for prolonged use. Hose Length: The hose is a little short for bigger cleaning projects, so you may find yourself repositioning the unit often.

Verdict: The Kärcher eco!Booster 130 is a reliable and eco-friendly pressure washer that offers great cleaning performance with a user-friendly design. It’s an excellent choice for environmentally conscious individuals and anyone who values quality and performance in their cleaning equipment.

I want to marry the Eco! Booster 130 ! – In the interests of full disclosure, the Eco! Booster 130 tested for the purposes of this review was supplied to me by the company at no cost. There were no assurances given as to the nature of the review I would provide as a result of testing the product. The Eco! Booster 130 was hooked up to my Karcher K4 Premium Power Control pressure washer,… Read more ·  1

(I will review that separately).

I have to admit that I was sceptical about the claim that an attachment that would use 50% less water would also be a major time saver... I didn't need to be! Connection to the control unit was a dead simple, click and twist. A couple of seconds and ready to put it to work.

In the attached video I tested the attachment on my slate tiled verandah, which was in desperate need of refurbishment. The tiles were laid in 2016 and coated with a clear lacquer, and that coating had been peeling and lifting for some time. As I had been using that area mostly for storing timber and other assorted materials, it had also become quite dusty, with a thick build up of dirt and debris. The eco! Booster attachment made the job very quick and an absolute breeze to clean up, it even removed the old lacquer in the areas where it was lifting. After about 5 minutes the whole area was clean and ready for refinishing.

As I live in a region that receives a lot of rain for most of the year, any exposed surfaces tend to develop a build up of moss and algae. Even our roads are edged with moss. The railing along my verandah had started getting a good amount of algae and moss growing along the length of i, and I was worried that it was going to need stripping right back, sanding, and repainting, in order to get it cleaned properly. Using the Eco! Booster, I was able to run over the length of the railing (total about 7 metres) in just a couple of minutes. All the algae and moss were removed, and the whole process took only a couple of minutes, without damaging the paintwork, so no need of any further effort. I could have kissed the contraption for the work it had saved me. I have attached a before and after comparison photograph.

The water saving and time saving aspects of this attachment were very welcome as I am on tank water and coming into what is expected to be a dry summer, I really need to conserve as much water as possible. This attachment will definitely be used for many more tasks to come.

The game changing attachment I didn’t know I needed – Thanks to the Ambassador campaign my son and I got to trial and keep this Karcher accessory in exchange for an honest and thorough review. cleaning nozzle and is the ideal accessory for use on more delicate surfaces. It also claims to be 50% more energy and water efficient so win-win! I love that it’s just the right width for cleaning small areas of individual pavers making it easier to avoid dislodging grout. Also ideal for cleaning fences and outdoor furniture.

We used the Eco!Booster to clean 2 rollershield window shutters, an aluminium window awning, a painted wood surface, fence palings, teak furniture, brick pavers, concrete and a plastic blow mould table. I think the Karcher Universal cleaning solution would have been really helpful when cleaning the plastic blow mould table and metal awning for a better clean - but it was not included in the free trial so couldn’t review it for you.

It did a great job of cleaning a teak outdoor chair. The only thing was that after it was dry I could see track marks so I think I need to go over it again more evenly and thoroughly. Then a light sand and will be ready for re sealing. This accessory was a lot more gentle than the dirt blaster attachment when used on another of my teak outdoor chairs (see my K4 Premium Power Control review).

Overall we were very impressed with the eco!Booster 130 accessory when used with our Karcher K4 Premium Power Control. If you only buy one Karcher accessory this should be it, it really is that good. I’ll be using it as my attachment of choice from now on to clean the remainder of my outdoor teak setting and small areas of pavers and concrete and the outdoor furniture, bikes etc.

TESTING THE eco!Booster*130 HIGH PRESSURE WASHER ACCESSORY – The KÄRCHER is very easy to maneuver around, being light enough to carry with its carry handle, which also has a retractable handle that can be extended to make use of the two wheels that are provided on the unit. Assembly and disassembly is really very simple with a ‘twist and click’ and ‘push and click’ system. The pressure produced by the unit… Read more ·  2

makes short work of dust and grime build-up. Using the unit on rejuvenating an old work-area shower stall and slate floor was no effort at all.

One of the features that I liked about the KÄRCHER is not being about to disconnect the high pressure hose after the unit has been turned off from water and power until the trigger release has been activated, draining the hose of any residual pressure.

The eco!Booster accessory did an excellent job lifting a large build-up of grime, with its wide-spread of high pressure water and all without the use of any chemicals. It was like using a liquid shovel on the build-up. When using the eco!Booster*130 head that comes with this accessory, the job is well done, but to boost this operation even further, and just by removing the head, the power is magnified somewhat, enough to almost remove completely, severe oil stains from paving bricks. The unit easily removed old dried paint stains from cement and paving stones

The unit is so easy to use, in assembly, operating, and in disassembly and it’s also very easy to store until the next job comes around.

Gentle and effective clean when full pressure is too much – We recently tested the Ecobooster attachment for the Karcher K4 Compact Pressure cleaner. See below before and after pics and Evonooster in action. It was certainly easier than ‘elbow grease’ and… Read more ·  1

did a good job. Now we just need to give the table a new coat of oil for summer! Shame there is no attachment for that! :-)

We also cleaned some hard to remove grime from our semi-frameless glass pool fence. It was effective and the reduced pressure meant it was a stress free experience to use.

We’d recommend the ecobooster for jobs where normal pressure could be too much.

Like all attachments it is very easy to change over.

I'm impressed – I got the eco!Booster 130 K4 to use on the back deck. The deck is wooden and covered in lichen, moss and ground in dirt. I was dubious about using a pressure washer on the wood in case it stripped what is left of the stain, but it didn’t. It brought it up almost good as new. I say “almost” because the deck and stairs have needed re-staining for… Read more ·  1

a while (just needed a proper clean so it could be done). Its definitely cleaned everything so well that I can now re-stain it. I’m impressed. In the past I’ve literally been out there with hot soapy water and a scrubbing brush but this eco!Booster 130 smashed it all out in literally minutes. The only downside for me was being unable to detach the applicator from the lance - I literally do not have the strength in my hands to push the mechanism in to pull the two pieces apart.

Good? I guess? But worth it? Not sure – The eco!Booster 130 is an easy-to-use attachment that fits right in with the other Kärcher add-ons in terms of simplicity. surfaces like painted surfaces or wood without causing damage.

As for its claim of boosting cleaning performance while saving water, I’m not entirely sold. It sounds good in theory, but without a way to measure actual water usage or compare results directly, it feels speculative. There might be some improvement, but it’s subtle enough that you’ll likely just notice the horizontal spray pattern more than any game-changing efficiency.

Overall: Not sure that this attachment is worth it since the attachments that come with the original unit do, well, the same thing. However, if you are cleaning surfaces that require something a little more gentle, then it's worth consideration.

It's fun....but more importantly, effective!! – Ok I know it's not meant to be "fun" but something about this attachment, and the shape of the spray you get from it, was quite fun for me. On a serious note, it really works and the flatter, wider surface coverage I got from it made it perfect to use on surfaces that I was a little afraid to use a more direct stream on, i.e. my car, a more worn… Read more ·  1

and damaged section of wooden fence, my dog's outdoor furniture. The attachment is very easy to install and remove, even with my weak grip strength and fine motor skill impairments. The only thing I would say was a con for me, but worth only maybe a quarter of a star, is that when the attachment is installed, the full length of my hand piece is massive, about a meter all up. For most people this wouldn't be an issue but being just 155cm tall and having a weak upper body and some other physical impairments, it definitely makes it considerably bulky for me and quite awkward to manoeuvre. Will it stop me from using it? No, not entirely. I will just be using it on things that I have the room to adequately stand aback from and probably only restrict it to the days I am fit enough to wield it.

Efficient cleaning for delicate surfaces – Compared to the standard (Dirt blaster and Vario Power Jet ) lances that comes standard with the Karcher K4 Compact, the eco!Booster lance provides a wider width coverage that’s ideal for cleaning large surface areas. of the back patio because it covered a larger surface area and wasn’t as harsh (where it didn't chip off more old paint) as well as being more water efficient. The eco!Booster was good to clean the dirt off rendered walls as it wasn't overly powerful without damaging the wall compared to the Dirt Blaster.

I enjoyed using it to wash the car because of the larger surface area this lance has over the Vario Power Jet when giving the car a rinse. This meant I spent less time rinsing so used less water and was able to finish cleaning faster.

It has become my most used accessory when I clean the floors and I know that I won't use as much water.

Great...until it didn't work! – This initially was a great little attachment, just simply is a 'plug and go' attachment. No set up or assembly required. This is a much better head attachment for both vehicles and hard surfaces (paving etc.) then the standard attachment that comes with a Karcher unit. As to its claim of using 50% less water, I'm not sure as such - but certainly… Read more

does use less water. I feel this unit provides more flexibility with cleaning, especially on vehicles as the 'blade' of water is large enough to really get into the 'nooks and panel joins' better than the standard attachments.

I did a comparison on some concrete paving, and felt the eco!booster did a slightly better job, and in less time. (see 1st photo - the larger panel is the one the eco!booster cleaned)

I still struggle to see how this unit (which really has little going on) is worth $80-100 however - price point I would have thought would've been closer to $40-50.....especially in my instance - the issue around reliability.

After the cleaning of one vehicle and commencing the start of my driveway, the Karcher unit started to cut in and out. Water supply - check. Power - check. Karcher with other attachments - check. It was the eco!boost and was only spraying out of one side (see 2nd photo). I checked the head for blockage, as well as the other attachment connections. All clean (and why would they be blocked after just 10 minutes use on town mains water!?) I swapped the chervon shaped head around, and the water was not spraying on the same side - indicating an issue further up the line of the attachment. Totally perplexed. It was not dropped, or stood on. Brand spanking new - only for it to not work after just 10 minutes!

This would have been 1 star, but I upped it to 2 because maybe I just got a dud - because it was great for me....when it did work!
