Kask Protone Cycling Helmet

Nice design, but not very durable. Average aftersales support – I have paid full price for this helmet which is extremely expensive. I do not think it is justified. But it is normal for the lucrative high end cycling market. And because you do not know the exact difference in aerodynamic and saefty between this and cheaper helmets (it is not measurable and not comparable) sometimes you just spend more to be on the safe side.

Just as other review mentioned - foam inserts in the plastic retention system started to fall out after some use. I think, I can safely say that I tried all types of glue tryng to fix them back in place, but nothing worked. Unfortunately, without those little foam inserts the helmet starts ripping your hair out and cuts your scalp skin so it is not really usable without them...

Kask Australia did send me replacement inserts, they said they were doing that because they were not being sold.

Although being used very carefully the paint started peeling off in some places of the helmet, and also the leather chin strap started delaminating... Kask offerred me no solution for those problems.

I think, for the price Kask is charging for these the aftersales support should be better. I do not recommend the brand and the model and will try something else, which I will have to do because the chin strap will not last very long and Kask is not going to help in any way with that.

Fantastic helmet and great after sales support – I bought this helmet well over two years ago and its been a great product. Its very light and extremely comfortable even on long summer rides due to its effective ventilation I love the genuine leather strap which is also very comfortable and shows no signs of wear after all this riding. Recently the small foam pads on the retention mechanism began to peel off so I emailed Kask who immediately sent replacements free of charge without fuss. This is a fantastic helmet and the people at Kask are amazing to deal with. Worth every cent!! You only get what you pay for after all!!
