Substandard Quality – Quite comfortable but very poor construction. They aren't waterproof the Keen.Dry Waterproof membrane is very poor compared to Goretex. The leather near the sole is really Faux leather as it cracks and splits, so just not value for money. Worn appropriately 2 to 3 days per week. Replaced with a reputable brand with Goretex for only a few dollars extra. Show details

Poor quality control – Usually Keen make outstanding outdoor footwear known for durability and comfort. Not so with Targhee III’s The soles of mine started to peel off from the uppers after low use. I had to use Shoe Goo to adhere the soles at 8 points. This is an obvious a quality control issue as others have reported similar outcomes. From a reputable company this is really disappointing. Show details

Very disappointed in latest purchase of Keen Hiking Boots from a long time customer – In June 2021 I embarked on a 6 day trek in the NT I was wearing a virtually new pair of Keen Targhee Hiking boots. I had only worn them in the suburbs on 3 previous occasions prior to the NT trek. I have bought this brand of shoes on 2 previous occasions as they proved to be very comfortable and sturdy. I have never had a blister wearing this… Read more

brand and I found them very protective so I purchased this pair without trying any of their competitors. In fact I had recommended them on many occasions. I was very disappointed to find that by day 4 of this trek the shoes had started to deteriorate. The uppers were de laminating and separating from the soles. I was walking on paths and not walking through water. Very disappointed in a product that I have had previous positive experiences with . I would seriously reconsider buying these shoes for my next trip. I have included pics to show that the shoes were new and examples of the deterioration.
