Handy for any occassion – The handy pack in my opinion is almost unbeatable with the exception of just 3 things; its very limited 26 amps of battery, the limited solar input charge and provision for direct anderson connection. It would be great to see them bring out a 46 amp version or larger. I sometimes think they made this specifically for use with their other 12v… Read more
powered products and not for what most people are using them for. The built in MPPT solar controller is both a plus and a minus only in that it regulates a small recharge as oppose to other comparable brands that offer more charge via solar so only the 50w microlite panel can be used with the unit. There is no Anderson plug connection either which is a huge sidestep by them considering they really drive the whole 'anderson plug reliability' thing on their videos and marketing material. Its built in 250w inverter is genius for charging a 12/18v power tool battery or toasty maker etc.. One of its best qualities is that all of its functions, display and connections are on one side only unlike any other comparable brand where they are double sided. I love how you can connect both the 12 and 240v charging cords at the same time while the solar input is also connected as no other comparable brand offers this. The unit is well built, strong and knock resistant. Its compact and covered by their unbeatable warranty. Its compact for any smaller space. Ive found you can buy a 15 metre solar panel ext cable from the Yeti Zero thats compatible with this as they only offer a 5 metre cable and thats rarely enough length to be able to setup in the shade and have the panel in the full sun. Its great for when the power goes out at home or as a backup in emergency climate zone prone areas.
