I bought 6 pairs of King Gee bamboo socks for work thinking they would last for ages. Very disappointed as holes started forming after wearing them only once. I will now just use them as bed socks for winter. I don’t think the fibre is very strong. They might be sustainable and good for the environment but if they don’t last they are a 100% waste of money. I will go back to wool or wool blend socks as they definitely last longer. Show details

Bought these without realising that dry time is excessive in cold weather – Compared to wool socks the bamboo based socks will take ages to dry. These are no good if you need them to dry quickly. I have experienced a cold moist feeling using these socks in winter. Main reason is that it's recommended to dry these types of socks flat. I don't do that. I try to dry them on the clothes line in sunny conditions. However, … Read more

every time I get to washing it has always rained. Extremely frustrating when all your socks are still on the clothes line for days after washing and they are too wet to wear. For work boots I would recommend wool socks in cold conditions as these dry much quicker. Usually in 2 to 3 hours. I regulaly suffer from dermatitis on the feet and thought bamboo would be a good option. I personally don't recommend bamboo socks because they need to be tumble dried on low heat in winter or cold wet conditions. Wool socks don't. Finally some bamboo socks are better than others. I have 1 pair which are not king gee and they seem sturdy and dry much quicker. I don't recommend the King gee 3 pack bamboo socks. (I bought 2, 3 packs) The dry time is a deal breaker for me. Image is of the socks washed on Tuesday, it's now Sunday and they are still too wet. I have been forced to bring them in at night and put them out by day. They need to be brought in before the cool air of the afternoon in winter or they just don't dry. Too high maintenance.

Disappointing – I bought 6 pairs of King Gee bamboo mix socks thinking it would last forever. Within a couple of months of wearing them, the heels wore off. Feels thick and strong but in reality they’re not. Very disappointed
