Digital display does not remain visible for more than 5 seconds even in reduced or no light regardless of whether the sensor is on or off. Will be returning item - Did not bother to test alarm. Show details

Anko Model 42298298 is nearly useless for telling the time as I cannot view the display during the day. In the middle of the night I can touch the snooze/light button to see the time, but thats about the limit of its use. At around $8 I guess I got what I paid for. Show details

Setting my Anko battery alarm clock, code [Code Removed] again – Last night my clock wouldn't show the time, so my 3 AAA rechargeable batteries had gone flat. Rechargeable batteries don't last as long as non-rechargeable batteries, so today I bought a pack of 4 AAA Energizer Max Plus batteries. After inserting 3 of them I set the clock again. And make sure the slider is against the setting you want to change. Even with an error in setting the date, I set the slider against time set and had to set the time again, it took me only a few minutes!

Anko-Electric alarm clock – Have spent 30mins setting this clock up. Setting alarms is an exercise in frustration. Only good feature is the choice of 12 or 24 hour clock time. I will be returning it tomorrow. Very disappointing. Show details

Example of cheap Chinese crap – Brought myself one of these clocks as a travel clock. Lasted a week. Didn't bother returning, would have cost more to drive to return. Flimsy, cheap plastic clock. Spend your money on something else. Show details

You can't turn the alarm off! I'm stuck in an endless nightmare!! – It's a great wireless charger. If you need a wireless charger then buy one. But DO NOT buy this alarm clock. OMG! the alarm off. I'm not kidding. There is no possible way to turn the alarm off so it goes off even on the weekends when you just want a good sleep in. It's like a groundhog day nightmare. It must be stopped. I have to go now, my nervous twitch is getting worse just thinking about that damn clock ....

Good clock, annoying voice – The clock itself is compact and easy to use. Screen is a bit too bright at night. What ruins it is the annoying loud voice that announces everything, including before the alarm goes off. No need for an alarm, the blaring voice is enough to wake everyone in the house. Dont buy if u have a week heart or dont like being woken abruptly – As a radio , clock and phone charger its ideal. As an alarm unless you like being harshly woken i wouldnt buy.. you can set the volume for the alarm as low as you want but just as the alarm turns on it YELLS FM RADIO at you before the radio quietly kicks in. Scared the bejangas out of me. Will be going back.

Rubbish product – exactly the same problem as described by the Greg and Account_Terminated_40. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Really bad Alarm clock. Straight to the rubbish bin after one day of purchase.

Disappointing – Not very impressed. Can't see the time as the screen is to dark. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I will have to buy another clock so I can see the time.

You may as well not have one – The unit looks fantastic and the digital set-up is very well thought out. The only problem is that the illumination of the screen is horrible, you may as well not have one during the day because you can't see the darn thing. I ended up buying the Kmart (Home & Co) Clock Radio instead. It's exactly what this alarm clock SHOULD be, but isn't.
