Laser Frameless

Poor viewing angle – Easy to set up, but the very poor viewing angle makes this LCD almost useless. Unless you line yourself up perpendicular to display, images look like negatives or underexposed. No brightness or contrast adjustment available.I expected a quality product for $150-$160. I wished I put this money towards an ipad and set it on slideshow. Avoid this product. Easy Set Up Expensive and poor quality
Elegant frameless design. Gorgeous large clear pictures and easy to use – After thinking of getting a larger digital photo frame for some time, I bought this 15 inch frameless Laser digital photo frame at Big W two weeks ago. I also bought a 4GB USB flash drive. I unpacked it and plugged it in and put in an SD card loaded with JPG photo files I had from an old smaller digital frame. It started working immediately, nothing to adjust, or preferences to put in as it has no settings options apart from the default setting it comes with. We were amazed with the pictures on the large screen. Most of them were taken with my old 2MP Canon Ixus2 but they were just lovely. It has a variety of transition effects which I also find very attractive.
I had in mind to get a digital frame with sound and the ability to play WMA picture slide show files with music, but now I don't regret not having that feature.
I have filled the 4GB USB with my favourite photos and often find myself sitting near it just admiring the slide show. I have had visitors who were also very impressed with this frame. It has an aspect ratio of 4:3, so my photos take up the whole viewable screen. It uses only 24 watts so it’s economical to run. It actually also looks quite attractive when it’s switched off.
There are a few options, the buttons of which are on the opposite side of the on/off switch (which by the way is very easy to switch on or off without looking) and memory card or USB flash drive. You can use a play/pause button to stop the slide show so it stays on one picture. You can use a next button to go forward or previous button to go back a picture, plus a zoom in or zoom out button.
I recommend this product as a very useful present for an older person who isn't technology savvy. It’s really quite foolproof. It doesn't even have a remote control. It doesn't need one. Just plug and play after inserting a loaded card or usb stick. But I recommend it for anyone who would enjoy looking at their photos.
It is now over 5 years later and just this week it is showing signs of some problems. It is starting to flicker occasionally as the pictures come up. It has done very well with almost constant all day every day use.

Its now nearly 3 years later and this Digital Photo frame has been switched on and showing photos almost daily for 12 to 14 hours and still functions perfectly. - Jill03
