Terrible product – I have never been able to use this properly and it seems that there must be a virus and reading other comments confirmed this. Now I have no ability to reset it to the factory reset state. It just stays on the LASER display. Very disappointed with something as bad as this! I am considering of finding ways of using this for something else but is it worth the trouble finding a way to upload the stuff when I cant even get into the menu.. Its terrible !!
Virus – Same issue as earlier post above. It waits until there is a user login before installing malware by itself. Poor form. You can reset the device to factory default looks fine and about 2 days later it comessage back.
Laser Tablet has Trojan viruses! Beware! Scan yours! – Product Info: Laser MID-1071 http://www.laserco.com.au/MID-1071-10-etouch-everyday-tablet-hd-touch-screen-567716312 Problem: - Laser tablet came with trojan viruses (root-kit viruses) that keep on automatically installing random crappy apps! The viruses sit in the root area, so you can't even remove them! - Did multiple factory resets. Trojan viruses are still there!
- Sent tablets to Laser Service Centre and they updated the firmware. Guess what? The viruses are still there!
Trojan Viruses:
1. Android/Trojan.HiddenApp.o
Location: /system/priv-app/XFota.noicon.9104.apk
2. Android/Trojan.HiddenAds
Location: /system/priv-app/XFota.apk
I bought 2 of these Laser Tablets and gave them to 2 different persons as gift. At some point, one installed the free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware app ( https://www.malwarebytes.com/ ) and found 2 trojan viruses! I then asked the other to install the same app and scan as well. Guess what?! The exact same 2 trojan viruses!
I brought the 2 tablets to Laser Service Centre for resolution (and received the most appalling customer service ever!), and they were not able to remove the virus after upgrading the firmware!
I will never buy a Laser product ever again!!!
If you bought a Laser tablet or smartphone, install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware and scan your device! If you see viruses, post it here!!
