LastPass

Look for a password vault that offers support when you need it – After several years holding a last pass paid subscription, my master password won't work for some reason and they don't offer any support or speak to you unless you log in to your account. How do you do this when your master password doesn't work? All you get is a useless thing called super bot. The worse bot i have ever used, password reset… Read more
doesn't work, emails don't arrive with password hints. Beware fall for last pass, Like many large companies today they are totally money focused and not looking after customers. Look at the screen shots and see how they offer support
Absolutely dreadful – Locked out of my account so cannot retrieve any passwords. Went through proper identification steps with support who agree it is my account. Now they keep suggesting the same login solution which does not work. It's fifteen days now and "customer support" no longer respond. Avoid!
Lastpass is a nightmare – I am so tired of their endless demands to change passwords, update security etc. I spend hours jumping through their hoops only to be then told it isn't good enough. Who is paying who for this service? I don't pay an annual fee to be run round in circles in a massive butt covering exercise. And now they have had the gall to lock me out of my vault… Read more
until I change some passwords they have decided are not good enough. And I can't contact them to complain because you can't contact them unless you are in their vault. Seriously - they used to be good - now they seem to think I exist to spend my days following their orders. Recommend you go elsewhere until they loose the slave master totalitarian regime attitude. I am changing to a different provider as soon as I can access my vault and get all my info.
Ridiculously glitchy it keeps stuffing up the passwords – At first I couldn't believe how great it was. So convenient and practical. Now it clears passwords that were once stored. Or it changes the saved URL so staff cannot get in. Or changes username to a saved site. The first 1-2 times a problem happened I thought I must've changed it accidentally. But no it's definitely not me making mistakes. … Read more
it even changes the saved password to a site to my master password. I thought how did that happen, so I updated it. Then it happened to another site. And another. And another.
When I turn the computer off, I login to LastPass so that I can quickly get into my other websites and softwares I need. It doesn't work. In order to get in, I have to login manually to at least 3 different sites, then I'll try LastPass again, and it miraculously works. This happens each and every time now. And If I only log into 2 sites, then try logging into LastPass - it doesn't work. Needs to be 3 sites.
I clear my cache regularly so things run smoothly, so it's not that. Last pass has just become so painful.
Trying to share passwords with new staff is impossible, it works for maybe 40% of saved sites.
It seems to be glitching with repeated glitches that don't ever get fixed.
Sometimes my staff say they can't get in, so I fix it, then resend it. It works for a bit. Then stops again because something has changed, either the PW, username, or the URL.
Do not sign up for this company – The support from this company is non-existent if you have forgotten your Master password and your browser doesn't have the add-on. You need to login to raise a support request, there is no support phone number or email. You're basically stuck,
Genuinely impressed! – I've been using it for a few years, and it does what it is supposed to across my devices. I had to write this review, however, because today I wanted support and I clicked the "please call me" button, and they called me in Melbourne from the US within 2 minutes (!!!) and solved my problem immediately. Staggeringly good service. Love em.
Forced to use for work and it's just a pain – No idea who the UI is made for but it's incredibly painful to use. You'd think keeping a bunch of passwords couldn't be that complicated right? Well LastPass sure can make it as complicated and difficult to manage as possible. Doesn't even do the basics in a solid way. Randomly some days my passwords just don't exist then they just as randomly… Read more
come back. Went through a phase of one of my passwords getting overridden every time. As is obvious on reddit and hackernews this product is just expensive and half-baked. Every release is just worse and worse. Please please used some other product. Don't support this rubbish.
Used to be a great piece of software, good luck cancelling it – I was a long time customer until a couple of years back when the issues with the software got to point that I decided it was time to change. Moved to Bitwarden which costs a fraction of the amount and wish I'd done it sooner. I was still charged even though I cancelled my account. I raised a ticket to get a refund and they asked for screenshots of… Read more
my cancelling the account. Decided it wasn't worth the time dealing with the support and sucked up the $60 annual charge. Now next year I've been charged again and screenshotting the hell out of my cancellation.
More trouble than it's worth – Have to use lastpass for work, but the password reset process seems perpetually broken. The page just displays spinner for 10 seconds and then nothing happens. Ironically, I don't have nearly as much difficulty with regular passwords as for most accounts/services they're not terribly important, and also because Chrome remembers them for me. But… Read more
because lastpass contains all of my passwords, I feel I need to come up with something hard to crack. And then I can't crack it myself.
Good in theory but not in practice – Because Last Pass holds the keys to your life, you will want to use a very strong complicated password. But you will find you are constantly being asked for that password to access your stored password and generally it will not be a password that rolls of the tounge it gets worse on mobile as you will need the password every single tme you use it - so if anything it adds another layer of passwords you need to remember each time.
Not good if you every have to work away – If you're at same IP Address day in and day out, great but if you go away... They have zero support if something goes wrong you are just locked out
Beware autorenewal with LassPass – Beware this password security firm's automatic renewal facility. In 2019, I cancelled this facility. I paid a subscription for 2020 without reactivating äutomatic renewal" This year I received an email after the event, informing me that my subscription had been automatically renewed. This payment was at a very significantly higher rate than my… Read more
previous subscription. I wrote to the firm informing it that I had no automatic renewal and that I did not appreciate being charged an increased amount without being informed beforehand. What ensued was a reply that was complete advertising about their place in the market. I wrote back in an effort to get some focus on the problem I had outlined. After several obfuscating intervening emails I received this: " Double auto-renewal seems related to the failed auto-renewal attempts generated on Jan 14th 2019 related to the code 'stolen_card'.
For this year's renewal the auto-renewal was still on, no activation shown on our billing system. For which I apologize. "
This gobbledygook defies interpretation. There was no stolen card and indeed there was never a card at all!
Should firms be allowed to automatically renew subscriptions off their own bat? Should they be able to put up fees and charge them without informing the customer? Should firms be able to fob off customers with explanations that defy any logic?
Finally. I must point out that with LAStPASS you can have the program for free! I chose to pay for the service and feel I have been taken advantage of.
The Password Manager: LastPass – LaatPass is more for people who need to organize their passwords, so if you don't remember every single one of your passwords, need this. It works really well if you use Google Chrome. It also has an extension, which really helps. With my experience, it doesn't log out automatically, so if you forget and if someone hacks into your computer they… Read more
can get your information EASLY!! Oh yeah, the service can launch the websites you use without typing in your password, which is a pretty aspect. And if you are conserned about some other things, you can go to their website.
