Le Creuset Peruh Kettle

Poor quality – The base has corroded from the inside to the outside and has now made a permanent mark on our induction cooktop. When I took it to Le Creuset they implied it was my fault for using the boost setting. Ultimately they replaced it because of corrosion around the lid, so now I use a medium setting and it takes about 15 mins to boil. They also said you shouldn’t leave excess water in it - so basically you need to treat this kettle like a fragile commodity. I own a lot of Le creuset products and have always been so impressed by the quality but needless to say I’m pretty disappointed with the kettle. Looks good but that’s about it.
Purchased in for $180.
A perfect kettle – I love this kettle. It pours well with no drips, the cap on the nozzle lifts easily to pour with a raised button on the handle just in the right place, the whistle is quite inoffensive, not nearly as screechy as my last kettle. The lid fits firmly, but I just fill by the nozzle. Easy to clean. (Wipe in hot soapy water and rinse and don't let splatters bake on.) Lovely design, looks great on my stove.
