Zero star! Be aware of your privaci – I purchased the Ledger Nano S three years ago and since the last two years I keep receiving scam sms and email . Ledger gave my details to scammers and now I got annoyed every day and night. The scammers also got my postal address from Ledger……stay away from this company. Completely garbage. Show details
Thinking of buying this ****, bang your head against a brick wall until the thought's gone – Have never hated anything more in my life!! So complex and irrational processes, it's almost impossible to use, together with next to zero instructions and less than zero support. Now they're releasing sections of your complete seed phrases to other companies. WTH?? Show details
utter useless rubbish avoid, avoid, avoid – I bought this early 2022, I reset it and updated Ledger live and now the device wont send or receive...Ledger refuses to help or replace the device and has asked, 'that I video trying to use it then upload it to youtube" for them to decide whether they'll be replacing my device...Ive spent $120 AUD on a useless piece of junk and am being made a… Read more
mockery of as a consumer. Do yourself a favour and get a Trezor as this is rubbish and so is their support.
Dead on Arrival – Open 2 tickets no response for a whole month, Pretty much 300 bucks down the drain. No attempt to get in touch or provide an alternative or exchange. Model is known to have battery issue Show details
Security Compormised at Setup. Phishing Scares – I bought this a few days ago. I did my research and thought it could be set up and used, only going to the computer when it was offline to download the Crypto I had bought. But you can't set it up fully without going online. Defeats any security. Also, have seen 3 separate warnings about phishing attacks in my first hour of investigating the setup. What? Extremely strange. Have to start again with a different wallet.
product frozen! bootloader – I brought my ledger in 2017, simply enough to use. however after a needed upgrade, it has now frozen on bootloader. I have email ledger support team 3 times, zero response! I would recommend a product with a better customer service. my crypto is now inaccessible. very upset! Show details
Appalling/absent customer service – For a company that has apparently received more than $85m in investment money, their customer service and online support FAQs are shockingly amateurish. After around 3 weeks of requesting help I finally received email support from 3 different people. Their responses seemed designed to put me into a holding pattern, rather than to help me solve my… Read more
problem, which was that my device firmware needed updating but the new Ledger Live app couldn't update it because it was too old. I'm surely not the only person with this issue.
Fortunately I have a friend who could help. He uses Ledger Live app on a Mac. We were able to connect my Nano S to his Mac and update the firmware from there. After the firmware was updated (using his Mac), my device then worked on my PC.
Sadly, Ledger themselves do not seem to know about this fix, nor do they show any interest whatsoever in helping people who purchased their products.
No Customer Support – Bought Nano Ledger S awhile ago and did not use since initially setting up and all was well. Tried using again now, wouldn’t connect, tried for 3 days to access, emailed Ledger “support” got a ticket number from Bot and that’s all I received from Ledger and it is now 5 days. Thanks to watching many YouTube videos I finally have been able to… Read more
access my account, no thanks to Ledger. It was a very frustrating and worrying time. Ledgers instructions on the internet to repairs of the stick I found ambiguous and wasn’t confident to proceed without confirmation I was doing the right thing but in the end just had to follow YouTube suggestions. USB stick is working now but Ledgers’ failure to care for their customers and provide no product support is very disappointing. You are on your own.
Faulty Display 2 x No Support or Replacement DO NOT BUY – Never ever buy this. Unit is OK to start. Display fails after about 6-12 mths, with horizontal blank lines on display. I own 4 x and 2 are stuffed. Ledger support will not repair or replace, only email support avail. PATHETIC customer service and substandard, overpriced, poor quality product. Show details
Completely failed my expectations – A litany of issues with this device. Ledger did not confirm my order through PayPal until I wrote asking for confirmation and the Ledger Nano S turns out not to be compatible with MacBook Air 2020 although they will dispute this. From my research it appears the problem I had is a common one - it connected only intermittently and not long enough … Read more
to go through the whole set up process. By the time I'd spent days on this issue and then sought professional help - they confirmed the product was faulty - I just wanted to return it and get my money back. Impossible and unfriendly client support who seemed to wilfully misunderstand my request. After a long and repetitive series of emails they said I could not return it because you can only do that within 14 days of ordering. As I'd ordered from Australia it took a lot longer than 14 days to arrive, but their policy is both unfair and completely rigid. Although you will see good reviews of this product, which certainly impressed me into buying this, it has been a massive disappointment and an expensive waste of money. 2/10 for communication. 0/10 for the product itself. It leaves you feeling completely ripped off.
Doesn't support AUD – Seems ok but doesn't support displaying balance in AUD but every other currency is there. Has been that way for months. Many threads about people complaining about this but they don't seem to care.
Ledger Nano S seems untrustworthy – This whole experience has been terrible and suspicious. Got the Ledger today and after opening it said something about having a tamper proof seal. I didn't notice that. Red flag. When trying to set up it set up your device by connecting it to your phone with an OTG cable (see attached). What the f is that? Why should I know what that is? Should… Read more
it be in the packaging and therefore there is further evidence that the box was tampered with?
At this point I'm thinking I've been ripped off, hacked or something suspicious is going on. Even the key chain looks like it could easily break and fall off my keys.
What a horrible experience. I'll probably just leave it somewhere and unlikely touch it again. What a waste of time and money.
